  3. Got two boxes filled to the brim with plastics, lures, line, and braid. Hope to see my extra tackle get vets & kids hooked on fishing !!
  4. I use 10lb braid with 6lb flouro, uni-uni knot. I've had really good luck with this combo for drop shot & shakeyhead.
  5. I'll go through my tackle this weekend, I'm sure I have plenty of plastics to donate...
  6. Top water and frogs gets braid. Everything else gets braid with flouro leader. And I only use spinning gear.
  7. I dont like anything longer than 6'6 for walking the dog or poppers. My 6'3 fenwick smallmouth rod, and 6'5 cumulus have been great for topwater.
  8. Would you guys say the third gen is the best model ?
  9. My 6'3 Fenwick medium small mouth rod, and dobyns champion 682 pretty much come on every trip...
  10. I'd use it for Texas rigged plastics...
  11. I use the 6'3 medium Fenwick small mouth rod for top water and its great. Love it for sammies and poppers.
  12. My ci4 1000 just came in the mail 30 minutes ago, looks great on my phenix m1. Headed out now in 28 degrees to do some dropshotting
  13. I have a 2500 ci4, a 1000 stradic fj, and just ordered a 1000 ci4 friday. I love both reels, the fj is definitely a smoother reel with the x-ship, but im a nut about weight and can truly appreciate the ci4. Ive hooked into some huge pickerel and bass and have never dealt with flex with the ci4, i think its an amazing spinning reel, especially for how cheap you can find them on ebay. I went to the local shop to play with the patriarch and wasnt impressed at all. For the money, i still think the stradic fj & ci4 are the best reels on the market, if you have a bit more money the sustain fg is my recommendation. You get the lightweight and x-ship.
  14. My first real purchase that put me in the game was a stradic 2500 ci4
  15. Im also on a breakfast burrito kick. Good quick meal when your hungry. 3 scrambled eggs, cheese, pepper, ketchup, onions, and peppers
  16. My go to is a sammy 85 in the ms shad color. Its got the olive back with orange belly. Ill throw that on sunny or cloudy days and that lure produces !!
  17. Only quantum reel i ever bought and liked is my boca surf reel, lol.
  18. I bought a symetre on eBay that had a gear problem. That got sent back, lol.
  19. I went today and they had clearance bins, got power pro for $10, shadraps for $4, they had some good deals...
  20. My favorites are the AR popper 55, and the owner cultiva gobo popper.
  21. I use the size 2 gami's, they work great for me...
  22. When i got back into serious fishing a few years back my first rod i bought was a st croix triumph with the full cork grip. I really dont mind the full grip, but i fell for the light weight/aesthetics thing and have only bought split grips since. Shimano cumulus/cumara are still my favorite grips though.....
  23. Ill have to pick some up, ive been using pline flouroclear for a while with no complaints. I also want to try the seaguar braid...
  24. I was impressed the last time i walked in the local walmart and saw falcon microguide rods in there....
