  2. haha, samething happened to me, i looked for the clip for 30 minutes, tore my whole room apart... Finally found it in an empty cup, lol.
  3. Phenix calls the rod a light but its really a medium light. My 6'9 m1 is called a light but fishes just like a mL.
  4. d**n, glad you made it. I have a sit in style kayak as well and cant imagine going in water at those temps...
  5. Heres two of my best, which i had a pic of my 5lb smallmouth from years ago...
  6. If i buy a 150yd spool of braid, i can get two reels spooled, just back the reel with some leftover mono and put 75 yards of braid on each reel...
  7. I like small nail clippers.
  8. jerkbaits, chatterbaits, lipless cranks...
  9. When fishing is really tough and i cant buy a bite, ill wacky rig a 4 inch smoke senko with an owner wacky hook and its usually one bass after the other. I fish 5 inch senkos as well, i like smoke, and all the green pumpkin/watermelon combinations.
  10. Go with the stradic 2500 fj, that will be a nice combo...
  11. I got a 6'5 cumulus with 1000 sustain. That combo weighs about 9.5 Oz's. Its hard to go back to heavier gear once you use the light stuff...
  12. I picked up a Powell max 683 which will get paired with my curado 51. Yesterday I picked up a 6'8 medium older cumara while I'm up in north jersey on vacation. I'll pair that with a chronarch 51.
  13. Im in camden county, i fish alot of cumberland county and gloucester county lakes. I'll actually be up by ramapo college this weekend and im gonna get the line wet. I just have no clue where to fish, theres tons of lakes, ponds, and the ramapo river, any help from the north jersey guys ?
  14. Ive been using a core 51 for the past few weeks and its pure bliss, but i know id be just as happy with a zonda 68
  15. Is the 682 like a noodle or does it have any backbone at all ? Whats the maximum weight bait you would feel comfortable throwing on that rod ? Thanks
  16. Has anyone handled these two rods ? Im looking to put my chronarch 51 on one of them and looking for the right choice. Im going to be primarily throwing 1/4oz-3/8oz baits. The 682 is rated 1/16-3/8oz, and the 683 is rated 1/8-1/2oz. Do you think id be overpowering the 682, my instincts are telling me to get the 683 but was interested in the 682... Any info is appreciated.
  17. wow, i would of been stocking up, lol
  18. Yes, so can the ci4.
  19. d**n, thats some good prices...
  20. Get the sustain if you have $400, you'll love it.
  21. Definitely interested in a review of the lexa spinning reel...
  22. I've got it down to 6 shimano reels, 4 shimano rods, a Fenwick smallie rod, and Powell max rod. Hoping to add an nrx and recon too....
  23. With those options I'd go 6'10 smallmouth rod with the Sahara or symetre. BTW, check out my phenix m1 in the flea market, its a sweet rod.
  24. Yea its funny what everyones preference is. I love the ci4 knob, id like that on my sustain and stradic. Id even prefer it on my baitcasters. Its funny how some people hate the eva, i love it, lol.
  25. I have the stradic 1000fj, ci4 1000 and sustain 1000fg. There all amazing reels, but when it comes to the money the stradic fj is amazing. Its 7.5oz's, has x-ship, and i believe it has the rapid drag like the sustain has. The ci4 1000 is 6.2 oz's, thats amazingly light, very smooth, i use that as my dropshot/shakeyhead reel. The sustain is 6.5oz's, also has xship, rapid drag and it just an awesome reel. I dont know what your budget is, but on ebay the fj usually goes for $135, the ci4 goes for $169, and the sustain can be found for $230-260. I stil love my ci4's but since ive used x-ship its hard to go back. I have three spinning combos, if i could do it all over again it would be three stradic fj's. Hope this helps.
