  1. Nice bass speed
  2. The same with what has been said, i also like to fish topwater right before a front is coming through, the fish are crazy and they'll nail anything on top.
  3. I use the clinch knot with flouroclear, never have problems...
  4. Completely agree with Jeff. I have probally 30-40 orders with TW and not one has gone bad, cant beat there $10 overnight shipping, i do that way toooo much.
  5. My favorite is the jackall green pumpkin candy.
  6. I have my eyes on the 6'10 spinnerbait rod, we will see.....
  7. I had the powell diesel in my hands, really nice rod for the money. I agree with kicker though, i also recommend the fenwick smallmouth rod, i have the 6'3 medium i use for small cranks, jerkbaits, and topwater and its an amazing rod for the $100 range.
  8. Went out in the kayak today for the first time of the year. Started throwing a 1/4 lipless crank with no bites so i switched over to a 1/16oz jackall wacky hook with flickshake work in green pumpkin candy. I was in 10-12 ft water and i gave it three twitches and let it drop and miss a fish. Throw it back out there, repeat let the bait drop and bam, fish on. I knew this thing was big, i was hoping it was a bass, ends up being a new pb pickerel at 4.8lbs. Beat my old record of 3.6lbs.
  9. Got my shimano box yesterday, now some of my topwater baits have a home.....
  10. jackall flickshake with 1/16oz head, or dropshot with 4-1/2 inch roboworm
  11. I agree completely with this. I use braid and flouro leaders so i use 1000 size reels. I want the lightest possible. But if i ever planned on using full flouro it would definitely be a 2500 size reel.
  12. Man, that's a sweet pair of daiwas
  13. Anything with the name rebel on it, lol. All there little crankbaits work great, i also like vibrax inline minnow spinners and 1/16oz yozuri pins minnows. These are my three ultralight boxes
  14. Id go fenwick smallmouth rod, very light, great rods in the $100 range
  15. 6'9 phenix m1 used 6'8 cumara fenwick smallmouth rod All great rods
  16. I use 1000 size spinning reels on 6'10 rods and shorter. I jump up to 2500 size for 7ft and longer rods.
  17. That's a sweet setup for your first baitcaster man.
  18. I like braid with 8lb flouroclear leader for jerkbaits.
  19. i use size 1 & 2, works great for nose hooking roboworms and other 4-1/2 inch ds baits.
  20. Go on eBay and search for stradic knob or handle bearing, there's a guy that sells them for like $8
  21. Only thing ive ever done to a spinning reel was add a bearing in the knob, did that on a fuego and my stradic fj. Other than that, there pretty much ready to go.
  22. Traded a chronarch 51e for a jdm revo aurora, sold that on ebay and picked up a chronarch 51mg. Boca orange seals and a hawgtech handle, couldnt be happier, this is an amazing reel, and maybe my favorite.....
  23. Nice, thats a sweet rod. I was playing with that exact rod in the tackle shop and really wanted to pull the trigger but the cumara takes care of business.....
  24. I wasnt very impressed with the jdm revo aurora i picked up... Msrp on that reel is $479, lol. Felt like a $200 reel at best to me, actually preferred my curado 51. I let go a brand new chronarch 51 and cash on top to try out an abu and was pretty disappointed. Are most reels overpriced, definitely, its the same way in the import car world. You want to import jdm parts over to the u.s ? Well your gonna pay for it.... And to add to what others have said, i never pay full price, i always wait for a sale or deal to pop up. Theres only a few reels i would pay full price for.
