  7. Wow, thats an awesome collection
  8. I use 10lb braid with 6lb flouro leader.
  9. I only use leaders now in clear water for dropshot, flickshake, and shakeyhead. Everything else is straight braid.
  10. I hope this isnt true, really hoping the lefties will be out soon....
  11. I fish the banks 75% of the time. I love wading rivers and small ponds. I do have a kayak though which is nice when i want to get out and hit the deeper water and spots you just cant get to from the shore. I plan on getting an 8ft jon boat and trolling motor soon though.
  12. Cant go wrong with the cumara, i have the new 6'8 m/h model and can throw just about anything with this rod.
  13. If you want to throw 1/4 oz, either use a spinning rod or save the cash and get a used 50 series shimano or daiwa sol/alphas....
  14. Best bang for your buck would be a fenwick elite tech smallmouth rod. Can be found for $80-100. Second rod id go for would be a *** ***, there $99. For reels, if you could add another 20-30 bucks to your budget you could afford a stradic fj which is just an amazing reel. I guarantee you would be very with either rod paired with that reel
  15. Braid - Power Pro - Palomar Copoly - Pline flouroclear - Clinch Braid -> Flouro - Uni - Uni
  16. Bought this used off another forum, but it looks brand new. Started off-loading some of my fishing gear to cover some medical bills that came back to haunt me and was able to sell some motocycle parts to cover it. So i sold my curado 51e, a fenwick elite tech rod, and some lures and had just about enough cash so i pulled the trigger on this one and couldnt be happier. The spool is even more shallower then the one my daiwa pxl-r. I was pretty surprised, calls for 100yards of 6lb line so i think im going to spool it with 10 or 15lb power pro.
  17. Im amazed at how smooth this reel is. Came in yesterday, threw some power pro on real fast and ran down to the river to test it out. By far the smoothest reel ive ever used before. Very happy with my purchase, just have to figure out how to use the svs braking, lol. Also have a carbon fiber zpi handle coming soon, I have zpi knob bearings and extra shimano knobs waiting....
  18. I have the 10lb on one of my spinning reels, I love it. Only braid I use besides power pro.
  19. I think 30lb pp would be more then enough.
  20. Nice reel maico, I just picked up a conquest 51s that should be here tomm, can't wait...
  21. My 6'8 cumara works great, but if I had the beans id be rocking a mega bass rod.
  22. ouch, hopefully they stand behind there product and replace it....
  23. Im saving for the new chronarch and ci4
