  1. Might send in my shimanos soon !!
  2. JT is great, got both of my aldebarans from them and they came quicker from japan then some of the reels I've ordered in the states, lol.
  3. Id go with an older shimano saros 1000 with that budget.
  4. I use 10lb braid for spinning with 6lb leaders for finesse tactics. 20lb on the baitcasters with 8-10lb leaders. I'd give the 10lb a shot.
  5. X2 everything Darren has said. I've tried every line from red label, to sunline, and ultimately tatsu and have always gone back to flouroclear. Cheap, manageability is great, and the fish don't see it. Especially the green mist color....
  6. I use nail clippers, really helps to cinch the knot down. I just got the kvd splitring pliers though, and they cut braid great.
  7. Definitely, shimano 51 size baitcasters are all I use.
  8. Like other have said, morning, night, or cloudy days. Get yourself a few luckycraft sammy's, 85 or 100 size and have some fun
  9. I use 20 lb pp, add on 8-10lb leaders sometimes...
  10. Man, you picked up some nice gear
  11. Vagabond slimworms and 4 inch robos are my favorite.
  12. Thanks Nitro
  13. I hear ya, I'm 6 years cancer free. That disease killed my spine and muscles. Working hard to get my energy back !!
  14. 31 feelin like 81....
  15. I was considering one, nice rod for the money...
  16. Favorites for me is the mb vision 110, regular and diving mb flapslap, the lc pointer 78, and evergreen escarda. The bait that always works for me is the old yozuri pins minnow though, ive nailed really nice trout and bass on that one...
  17. Cant go wrong with either one. I prefer smaller profiles and lighter weight so the core is the winner in my book...
  18. I use braid on all my rods, flouro leaders when fishing clear water. As an experiment one day, i had 10lb yellow pp on and decided to skip the leader. I was in absolute clear water fishing a flickshake, (finesse fishing) and nailed a nice bass. Im another believer that the fish is looking at the bait not the line. Im still more confident with a leader though, and a big bonus is you save alot of money. I was spooling my reels every 3 weeks when i was using straight copoly/mono... Now i can get a few years out of a spool of braid, and months out of a spool of flouro for leaders...
  19. Can't go wrong with a ci4, ci4+, or stradic fj. All solid reels, super smooth and very light besides the fj.
  20. I picked up a 6'10 medium light cumulus for dropshots & flickshake. An Aldebaran mg for crankin, and a bfs xg for topwater & jerkbaits. In the market for a good crankin rod.
  21. Besides worms, ill rig craws and lizards for shakyhead
  22. Thats a sweet reel. I cant even imagine going to japan, id have all four credit cards maxed out after a few tackle stores Add one more vote for the conquest 50. I still cant believe i let my conquest 51 go, such an awesome reel...
  23. I might get a swimbait combo for next year. Probally a Calcutta and dobyns rod.
  24. Love the custom reels fellas !!
  25. I go this route as well. Pvc cut as short as possible with usps typically is the cheapest. Ive had fedex and ups break cardboard tubes now.
