  1. 10lb yellow pp would be my favorite.
  2. I've been wanting to get my hands on the ms-x or volkey... Would of been nice if they brought them over cause I'm looking for the one piece.
  3. Its all good, i had fun finding the parts and putting it together. I kept the handle, spool, and dragstar so ill atleast get a little more money back when they sell. Put it towards some xmas presents for the woman and the custom rod fund. Still want to get a custom k2 done

My daiwa winter reel project, finished and decided to sell, needed some money back. ito 103HL carbontex drag, steez dragstar, steez sv spool, pixy handle, hedgehog airs/handle hardware/brake dial screw/ cast control/duralumin screw kit Also finished my 3 bfs shimanos bfs xg - ktf core 51 - yumeya conquest 51s - avail
  5. Ive always used braid on topwater but switched it up this year for 8lb mono and actually preferred it. That little added stretch really helps for working poppers...

  7. Smokin deals, zillion for $199, px for $299.... Why must i be poor
  8. Give the endurance a shot, really well built rods and a no brainer at $119 !!
  9. All the 50 series shimanos are sweet. Just straight up soild easy to palm reels. Ive had em all, cant go wrong. Tons of aftermarket ugrades & gear swaps too. Id say the 50 size shimano is slightly smaller then a ci4+
  10. $100 new reel im goin tatula, $100 used citica e, curado g
  11. The zillion, grab one on closeout at TW...
  12. Haven't tried them yet, but after a lot of research I'd put them right up there with ixa & hedgehogs...
  13. I like pp, sufix perf, and the seaguar kanzen.
  14. I primarily throw finesse baits with my casting gear these days, but out of all the bearings ive used, best build quality and performance would go in this order... 1. IXA 2. Hedgehog 3. Boca OS 4. Hawgtech
  15. Thats a pretty bold statement on bearings man. Boca orange seals are great bearings and definitely worth the money. Just sounds a little funny to me having such an opinion on bearings after reading all your posts in the lews/shimano thread you started...
  16. If you want some stretch these would be my lines of choice, strong and very manageable.
  17. Took a quick pic for the people that have never had the oppurtunity to handle a Conquest 50/51. Conquest 51s & Core 51 Best looking and smoothest reel in the business
  18. Depending on the weights you plan on throwing, i picked up a cardiff 301 for $90, and a daiwa jupiter rod for $30. $120 was dirt cheap for a nice setup able to throw up to about 2oz swimbaits...
  19. I use cxx and hybrid for moving baits. Hybrid seems to be a little more manageable for me.
  20. I agree with this, tatsu is way too expensive to be using for moving baits. Hybrid is perfect for the baits you'll be fishing...
  21. Conquest 51s, bring it back exactly as-is with a 7:1 or faster gear ratio.
  22. One visit to bps was enough for me, its more like a novelty shop. Grab the family or your friends, walk around and checkout everything out. When i want to buy tackle its going to be TW or jdm online retailers...
  23. Nice collection Cheng
