  1. oh yeah, rain in the summer time results in topwater mayhem.
  2. A-Mart b/c of his natural knowledge of fishing. He's a pretty cool dude too. It would be fun to fish with Scott Martin on the Big O though.
  3. Depends on the depth your fishing. If I'm in deeper water looking for them, I'll throw a CB. Once I catch a few and they slow down, I'll throw a football head. If I'm in more shallow water, I'll throw a SB or a Chatterbait to find them, then slow down. Just remain open minded though. When you're throwing a "search bait", what you're really doing is trying to find the active fish. If you find a school, keep switching it up until you find something they want. A few of them may want one bait/color and the others may want something different. If I can run a CB pattern all over the lake and catch the active fish, I enjoy doing that verses sitting in one spot and trying to figure all of them out.
  4. Anything with a white belly works for me.
  5. ^^^ That dude know's what he's talking about.
  6. Keep throwing them...especially early morning and when it's cloudy. You'll get bit..trust me. I'm not getting into a bait company fight, but shaky heads, drop shots and small weightless plastics will catch numbers. Cranks, jigs and spinnerbaits are a must. Flukes are awesome and you gotta throw some frogs in there.
  7. Rage craw and Zoom speed craws. If you dip their claws in some spike-it....bam! Fish will be jumpin' in the boat.
  8. practice practice practice....and then practice some more. Dont tighten your brake bc that will cause a mess. You want to kinda roll your wrist when you do it. My bait is usually three or four inches from my rod tip. (it works better for me).
  9. Aaron is an awesome guy man. I know some people may think he's kinda protective of his spots and stuff, but he really is cool. He's by far the most natural fisherman on the planet. He's so detail oriented and everything has to be perfect but you cant fault him for that.
  10. What lake in SC is it? Private?
  11. Middle of the day...when you're least expecting it.
  12. Ditto...Cant go wrong with 3/8 or 1/2 oz. White or White/Chart with willow and colorado blades. Main thing is, trust it. It's gonna produce a better quality fish imo. I dont care if it's Jan. or july...if it's cloudy, I'm throwing it.
  13. So you use off set hooks instead of jig heads? That will lighten the load a bit.
  14. I heard that their H20 baits were produced by the lucky craft folks. Again, that's just hearsay. Their baits are pretty awesome. They also have a life time warranty on their baits and their rods and reels. I've never used their rods or reels, so I cant comment on them.
  15. wow...I always thought they pretty good reels. I offered my buddy $50 for his and he said..."it's yours". So I shouldnt buy it?
  16. There was a BFL on Lake Murray two weeks ago and 25+ won it. Said the A-Rig was the only thing they'd bite. I've used it a few times on Wylie, but not much.
  17. Do you throw it much?
  18. haha...the guy i went fishing with this past sunday uses it all the time. He's probably 65 yrs old or so. He'll throw it out there...talk a little bit, get a drink of water and work it back to him. He doesnt get in a hurry at all. lol
  19. Come on bro...aight listen now. Get your spinning rod, cut off about 2 feet of line then tie you a swivle on. (no weight) put your 2 foot leader on there with a 3/0 hook with a white super fluke. You'll be amazed dude...i'm telling you. I wont charge you for that one.
  20. IMO, I think the tx rig catches more fish, but the jig probably produces bigger fish. If I know there are big fish in the area, and I'm fishing heavy cover, I'll throw a jig but if I'm just looking for bites, I'll throw a tx rig.
  21. I just want to catch a bass on one of those big swim baits. I suppose I'll have to start fishing with them first.
  22. Kicker jigs Drop shot with a robo Kopper Frogs Power Team hammer shad Pro Assassinator spinnerbaits
  23. Oh yeah, I'm ready to go back now. haha
  24. Fish arent gonna eat something they cant see. Stick with the whites or white/char for spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Dark colors (june bug, black/blue) for plastics and jigs.
