  1. My curado E would look terrible on this rod.
  2. In my experience a stiff rod is a sensitive rod.
  3. I have a ltb 7' mh xf and it is very stiff. I think it may be a little over powered for 1/4 oz baits. I also have a 2012 legend extreme 7' medium f, but I haven't used it enough to know if it is what your are looking for. The mh xf legend extreme would probably be great for anything 3/8 oz or up.
  4. If the link doesn't work try googling tackletour ardent smart cull.
  5. Hey, Check out this reveiw http://www.tackletou...smartcull.html.
  6. Makes me want to break my old BPS Extreme lol.
  7. Make sure you put the line through the line guide if you are not.
  8. I'm a poor college student too lol. You could try to find someone that works at bass pro and they could buy you BPS stuff for 40% off. There is a left handed johnny morris sig series on the bps website for 69 dollars and a carbonlite rod would be around 100 dollars. With a discount this would be in your ball park. Also, you could see if there is a bass club at your college. Mizzou has one and we get a discount on falcon and ardent.
  9. Tackle Warehouse allows you to demo some reels. I think you can demo the revo premier, but there wasn't an option for Lews or Chronarch. You could try emailing them about it.
  10. When throwing a fluke I will rig it weightless on a 4 ewg hook. The hooks I use are cheap bass pro hooks. I sometimes wait to set the hook if they are just bumping it. You can generally feel when they inhale the bait. I will set the hook pretty hard and fairly quickly when I get a bite, as long as I think they inhaled it. Also, make sure you reel the slack out of your line before you set the hook. I have a good hook up ratio doing this. Sometimes I miss a couple of bites in a row and when I look at the fluke it will be balled up around the hook. When this happens I will take it off and put a new one on or adjust the way it was hooked.
  11. I've had success on a zoom magnum finesse worm and they remain upright from what I can tell. They are basically a thicker trick worm.
  12. Hey guys. I love bass fishing. I stumbled on this site when looking for info and it seems like a very informative site with friendly members.
