  1. i cant say enough good things about this rod!!!! i own two and will buy another soon (7ft med, 7ft6 medhvy, and ill buy a 7ft6 hvy)
  2. i have a 9 inch lift so i think that would be a pain and i wouldnt be driving everytime my buddys and i go out. i guess im looking for something like a gun case for your rods if they even make those??
  3. im moving to college here in a couple weeks and was just wondering how you transport your rods/reels. i really dont wanna mess with taking my reels off everytime i put them in the truck thanks
  4. shimano makes reliable rods for decent prices. i hope i dont offend you but im guessing you might be somewhat knew. but like i said im just guessing. this being said if i were you i save up a little more cash and buy a rod more expensive. one thing i have noticed is i stopped buying cheap combos and just sucked it up and bought quality things. my first quality purchase was i bought two abu garcia veritas's (7ft med and 7ft6in med hvy) and can tell a HUGE difference in the cheaper rods ive owned (obviously). hope this helps
  5. im not so sure about what rod but i would probably make it a spinner bait reel or possibly jerkbait. wbu?
  6. thats what i was thinking. worst comes to worst i have to return it. 50 percent off is hard to ignore no matter what it is!
  7. i was just browsing on cabelas website and saw they had a U.S. Reel Hibdon SuperCaster 800SX Baitcasting Reel for only 65 bucks. i am curious as to if its even a good reel. whats everyones thoughts? should i buy it? thanks
  8. veritas winch..i have it and absolutley love it! very light with a firm sensitive backbone
  9. exactly what i was thinking
  10. i was fishing in a tournament a few years back and the guy that owned the boat had this sensor thing that looked almost like a PDA device with about a 6 or 7ft wire attached to it and on the end of the wire was a lottle sensor. you would then dip the sensor in the water and it would tell you what color plastic to use according to the water clearity etc.anyone heard of them? i forgot what its called and i was thinking about investing in one if its even worth it. thanks
  11. thats what i was thinking. i feel like they cant sell them...probably just going to get the PQ, i have never heard of anything but good reviews about that reel
  12. Bass pro has a good deal on their Nitro Tournament Z Low-Profile for 60 (originally 130)...my question is, should i get this reel since its so cheap or should i spend the extra money and get the BPS Pro Qualifier? im wondering if there is a reason why bass pro has them for so cheap right now. thanks
