  1. Know what you mean. Mine is great with people and anything that does not move away at a quick pace. If it runs, flies, or is thrown... fair game.
  2. I wish I could bring mine but their prey drive is so great... they chase fish, birds, cast lures, etc. It's like fishing with a monkey on crack. I just gave up.
  3. I was actually wondering that as it looked like her coat was slightly brindle. Am I correct? I love the Malinois but a bit too high strung for this old guy. This is one of my pals IIRC... I do believe you ARE older than me. lol
  4. Hey Teal... see you have GSD (or one of the GSD offshoots as the B&W pic is hard to see the markings) in your avatar. I have 2 now... and have had three other over my lifetime. Great dogs.
  5. Potomac? This will bea real treat. Looking forward to see you "old" friends and making new ones. Not to mention fishing a place where i have never fished before. Can somebody post something that will lay out the requirements lie what licenses to get.... boat owner info and fees for the area? Just anything that will be necessary that we may not need anywhere else in the Commonwealth.
  6. Thanks for the info, I am an old Richmond guy anyway. Started my Virginia life there in 1967. Have many family in and around the city and end up there at least once a year. In fact... I was last up there and hit Gander Mt. for the big sellout before Greentop moved in. That was like... what? Last year? Been there twice since then. Haven't been to Greentop yet but just may have to. Trying to get Nitrofreak to go as well. I might bring a buddy with me as he is a basser as well.
  7. 18 unless you bring a parent or guardian.
  8. I would suggest you check out this thread... The M&G is the best way I know.
  9. I can be there on Saturday. Plan on driving up Sat morning.... hitting Bass Pro and redeem a mess of gift cards. Then... over to the expo to... well... spend some more money and see the sights. SAM... you name the time and I'll see you there.
  10. 10-4. Does he do reel tuning as well?
  11. OK... Sam... set up some days and time when you want to get us together. Saturday, IMO, would be the best day. What time?
  12. Count me in. Planned on going anyway.
  13. I was helping my brother move into his "new to him" home. Guy they bought it from was, according to him, "Really into fishing". We went into the attic to store some stuff and there was a Mitchell 1160G spinning real on a South Bend Seahawk 5'6" Medium Boat Rod. My brother gave me the setup as he does not fish. So... tell me about the reel and rod. Is the 1160 any good? It is missing a screw and I want to know if it is work fixing. Is the rod any good? What is a "Boat Rod"? Seems short to me. Any help?
  14. Another good read of the same type... http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/Sheep_ButNotFood.asp
  15. I always fish with HD stuff. You know me... heaviest line I can get away with on the equipment I am using.... and then some.
  16. Sometime a BR does not track well with the TM on the back so you have to may adjustments a lot.
  17. It's a shame that SML will have to wait until another day. I do bask in the light of the fact that I will get to fish a place with people who know. You guys would love SML. Well... maybe next year. See yall there.... where ever it is..
  18. I do believe Traveler2586 would be the best to answer that.
  19. That sounds vaguely familiar. Tackle ***? Wonder what Freud would say?
  20. You gonna learn this time? lol
  21. Did you guys try spoons, NF? That would have been the tops on SML that day we were out.
  22. Welcome
  23. Such good people. You guys are great. Thanks!
  24. NitroFreak... I believe this has been the best year of fishing I have ever had. No because of the fish I caught (or didn't) but because of the friends I made and the fellowship I was blessed with. Based on that... even if we have the Meet and Greet at somewhere other than SML... I invite any of you down here to stay and fish. Cheers!
