+1 When I do drink (and never to inebriation), it is ususally that or a Sam Adams (preferable one of the seasonal beers). I prefer to have a Scotch or Canadian whiskey when I sit back but, quitting smoking... I all but stopped the alcohol.

Sad. I had a Shelby CSX Shadow back in '89. Really brought the potential of the Shadow to life.

You can do the whole boat. It's tough stuff. I have several of our patrol vehicles done in a wrap and it holds up to quite a bit of abuse.

Yes... a wrap. The wrap stops where the waterline is of just to the point of the rails. You'd be surprised how tough some of those wraps are. Get the thick 3M stuf and it will be tough and, if it tears.... easier to fix than a paint scratch.

I do not know where you are located but I would look into a wrap. If you are in Virginia... I know a guy that does great work.

An Eagle Edition P-83 Vanad/Wanad Pistol. Pic sux but it has had only about 50 rounds through it. Only 200 imported by Dalvar. Can any of you guys tell me about Lake Moomaw? I have never been there but want to take the boat up for a day of Bassin'. I have heard several things about the lake... clear as crystal.... cold and deep... basically people saying that this is just a beautiful lake. I have also heard that, due to the cold nature of the lake, the bass have not spawned yet. So... is it clear and cold? Have the bass spawned on Moomaw yet? Where do I put in the boat? Where do i fish? Anything you guys can tell me would be great.

Any of you guys collect Combloc pistols or rifles?

Leesville Lake today! Bite was on but nothing over 3 pounds. About 15 or so (stopped counting at 10) LM on a mix of Storm Kickin' Shad, 2.5 and 1.5 Squarebill, Rage Craws, and drop shot... a catfish on a Rage Craw... and a little 4" pumpkinseed that hit my 1.5 KVD Chartreuse Black Back. Water still trashy as all get out. Boat is filthy and I don't have time to wash it before SML tomorrow. BTW... nobody to fish with tomorrow. Anybody interested?

I keep a little pair of plastic tweezers for doing the same thing he is doing with the hook.

Drop shot with a berkley 3" gulp minnow. Kinda startled me a little... didn't expect an almost 2 foot fish on the end of my line. I was fishing a pond near my house and this bit! Afraid it didn't live. It sucked the bait all the way down into the gut. Died within a few minutes after landing. I was unaware that Northern Pike were this far south in Va.

That's what I use. Never found a reason to change.

I accidentally ended up trying Zebco Omnibraid. My Wife was at the local WallyWorld and I was in need of some braid. Called her up and told her what i needed... POWERPRO BRAID!!!!!! All she heard was braid and grabbed the cheapest she saw... yup... the Zebco. Based on looks... rough... poorly made... ugly... not good... cheap... I shall not go on. I put it on one of my Spinners because I was not about to try it on a BC. Ya know what? It is OK on a Spinner. Still won't put it on a BC but works really well for my Drop Shot rig with a leader.

Anybody have any idea what the turnaround time is for them to replace a rod?

I have fished for 40 years. Never broke a rod until the last three weeks. Now... two. Oh, well!

I am a big Abu Garcia Fan but, as of late, of their new rods I have purchased... 6 of them... two have broken when setting the hook. One was a Verdict that broke just forward of the grip and a Veritas that snapped off about 8" of the tip. I have considered that it is just me that caused it but can't, for the life of me, figure out how. I sent the Verdict back for Warranty. Holding off on the Veritas as it was only two weeks apart. I have been considering getting a Wright & McGill Blair Wiggins S-Curve Casting Rod in 7"9' MHM as I have heard they are very tough. Anybody have one? Tried one? Hate it? Like it?
