  1. 5% here for largemouth. Last summer I caught a 5+ and another right around 6 - both public water too!
  2. I agree, shaky head is one of my favorite ways to throw a trick and/or finesse worm. I use a 3/16 oz head.
  3. I've caught some of my biggest largemouths in rivers. Try to use anything that is native to that river and will resemble what they normally eat, such as craws, creatures, baitfish, etc. If fishing for smallmouth, cast behind a rock in the current where they would be hanging out in a pool. If fishing for largemouth, always try and find structure. Side streams and flowing water from other sources usually provide big fish as well. Casting into the side stream and having it float down into the main river almost always yields strikes for me. Experiment - see what works best for you and what you like best. If you have any other specific questions, feel free to PM me!
  4. Hey all, I'm new to this site, but not to fishing, and want to start learning how to make jigs. Does anyone make their own jigs? Do certain materials work differently in the water than others? Could anyone give me tips on the best, most efficient way to make jigs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I fish for largemouth in particular, but smallmouth as well! Thanks!
