  1. There are 9 boats or so heading down this weekend from the KC forum. I'm sure you'll see a few posts in there with some good info early next week.
  2. I fish Smithville twice a year. Once for Corporate Challenge in May and once the week prior to pre-fish. A BR guy and I did well last year prefishing but that lake kicks my butt more often than not. Another buddy fished the Burtons tournaments and got smoked just about all the time. There are some people that really know the lake in that deal. If I need someone on the backseat for my prefishing this year I'll keep you in mind.
  3. I don't but I know the struggle. My trolling motor transducer bit the dust last year. I see the all the time on B (B) C and eBay. I replaced my hummingbird DI transducer this winter at about half the cost of a new one by watching eBay closely.
  4. Yes. Cold cycle. Air dry. I'm sure Blue will go out and catch a hundred, and that's ok. He's good fish whisper guy.
  5. Got the boat wet today at Melvern. That's it.
  6. We didn't have 13 lbs or 17 lbs at La Cygne yesterday, but we did finally figure out the correct area at the end of the day. 3.72 lbs on deep jerkbait (no it wasn't caught by the ramp)
  7. I fished La Cygne Wednesday. Only had one bite but it was a three pounder. Other boat in my area claimed to have 18lbs. We'll see what happens today.
  8. Almost forgot the bottle caps. Nice touch, but I think the mailman drank the bottles!! ?
  9. @deaknh03 knocked it OUT OF THE PARK. Very impressed with what arrived in the mail today. Rage tail products are always a good choice, and the swimbaits, jerkbair, and crankbaits are perfect for the lakes here in the Midwest. Looking forward to getting out on the water at the next opportunity. Thank you thank you and Merry Christmas!
  10. I want to fish Lake Kahola
  11. Glad you liked the box! Merry Christmas.
  12. Package heading to the Cranberry Township in PA. USPS Tracking Number 9405803699300365308711
  13. I'm in
  14. I fished Wolf Creek yesterday. Of course, I regretted going there after the first hour when the "10 mph north wind" turned the lake into white caps on the south end, and starting to think I need new TM batteries. I caught a few fish early on the plopper, then caught small fish pretty good on a Worden's rooster tail in pink and chartreuse along the wing dams. It's a perfect bait for finesse fishing when it's windy as hell and you can't feel the ned. Also caught a few fish on a jerkbait, spinnerbait, craw, and a custom beaver that had a tube-like tail. Started throwing the plopper again at noon because why not. I had two huge blow ups, but they both failed to hook up..such is #plopperlife. Didn't get any big fish, but still caught ~20 bass, so I didn't feel too terrible about it. On another note, anybody tried these batteries for the TM? - https://www.amazon.com/Sealed-Lead-Acid-Cycle-Battery/dp/B005CLPOQM
  15. I'll be at Table Rock from Oct. 21-23. Got a free place to stay as well near Shell Knob. I won't have a ton of time on the water, so one or two spots with GPS coordinates would be great!
  16. Thanks, @Bluebasser86 for the video! That fish was a 6-4 and is my new personal best. Caught on an Ivy BHW with a swimbait trailer. I also fished a private lake in Oklahoma on all four days of the long weekend. I didn't fish a whole lot of time (maybe 8 hours total), but I did get on a couple of good patterns depending on time of day. I caught about 20 fish, with the largest at 4-0 on a custom painted 1.5 crank off a shallow ledge. Lots of wobbler fish too in the middle of the day, which was really fun.
  17. Miola was pretty tough for us last night, but it seems that lake has been tough for me just about every time. We caught more numbers up near the river on wobbler and beaver. Had a couple nice frog fish, and a few good blowups, but nothing landed that was anywhere close to 18". I did catch a good crappie on a beaver in about 2' of water, so there is that. Seems the traffic is starting to die down now that school is back in session, which made the lake much more enjoyable than it was last week.
  18. I think "some" refers to raccoons, vultures, and other scavengers, which happily eat the drum that I leave on the side of the ramp.
  19. I know a lot of teams fished deep ledges in that event, but I read that the winning team threw floating jerkbaits in less than 3' of water! I have a buddy that fishes the weekly Smithville tourney, and he says that a lot people tear them up on deep cranks on main lake points in the summertime up there.
  20. @Thefrog22 and I fished Middle Creek last night. Bite was tough for us, but APPARENTLY keith slayed 'em and boated 30 bass. He had big bass with a 1-11. I think our boat only had seven fish boated, and nothing worth taking a picture of as our biggest was only 1-6. I lost a good frog fish right at the boat when I tried to boat flip him. Such is the froggin' life. Chigger craw on a C&C rocker head did most of the damage for me. Dwight had a rough night, but managed a couple on a beaver.
  21. I watched a guy catch a few bigger fish around the grass at DoCo with a walking topwater on thursday night.
  22. I hadn't gotten the net out. I lipped that sucker boat-side like an Elite Series pro.
  23. No way, are you kidding? I'm not that much of a badass.
  24. @Bluebasser86 will always be there for you. Lone Star was fun Thursday night. While Brian was playing around with the dinks, I landed a 4-2 on a YUM wooly bug. Fishing was pretty tough for @Doc-Drew and I as I don't think we had 25 fish between us, but we probably had over 11 pounds with our best five.
  25. Dwight and I fished Smithville on Saturday as part of Corporate Challenge. We were in the second flight, but when we got to our starting spot there was nobody there. Dwight landed three fish pretty quick on a black/blue craw out of flooded grass, but only one was a keeper, and it turned out to be our big fish for the day at just over 2 pounds. I caught five or six throughout the day, but I only added one other keeper, and it was a skinny 15" fish. Most of mine came on the black/blue wobbler in the flooded grass/brush. I had a couple of followers on the squarebill, including one GIANT that followed all the way back to the boat, but I just couldn't get them to commit to it. At the end of the tourney, we made a last second run to a spot that we had already fished , and I nailed a sand bar right when I came off plane with the lower unit. Freaked out for a minute, but the lower unit was still there when I trimmed it up...just a little bit beat up. Overall, we were a little disappointed that we didn't get more keepers but still ended up third in our Division with 4.01 lbs. http://www.kccorporatechallenge.com/results/2016
