  1. So i havent posted in a while (like 2 years), but this weather has me itchin' for some fishin'. Im going crazy and since i sold my boat when i left for college a year and a half ago, im limited to fishing from the bank for now. Do any of you know any good lakes/ponds to fish from the bank within about 45 min of atlanta in any direction? Also, a couple years ago BR was doing a get together of the georgia members to fish some park but i cant remember the name of it... I think there were like 3 lakes right next to each other and you just had to walk through the woods to the other lakes... thanks
  2. Ouch indeed but ill pay that money for his glove and the chance of a season like 2007 where he hit like 26hr in a very hitter-unfriendly park in petco.
  3. I went to opening day for the braves and the smoltz vs. santana game yesterday. Yesterday's game was great. The Braves look a lot better than their record indicates. They have problems in the pen and then the rotation needs to stay healthy in order for them to win the division. Their lineup, however, is the best in the NL. It will be a great race for the division amongst the phils, mets, and braves. Even with Pedro out, I like the Mets 1,2,3 in the rotation better than pretty much everyone in the NL. Santana is amazing and then Perez and Maine are underated and will have great seasons. Both had good years last year but no one seemed to really notice. Both will top last years performance as the mets win the wild card. Oh, the cards are doin pretty good.
  4. It's gonna be a great game. Who do you think is going to win and what is the score gonna be. My Pick: Memphis 78- Kansas 73
  5. I never post jokes but I thought this one was pretty funny. A small zoo in Arkansas obtained a very rare species of gorilla. Within a few weeks the gorilla, a female, became very difficult to handle. Upon examination, the veterinarian determined the problem. The gorilla was in heat. To make matters worse, there was no male gorilla available. In a desperate hope to solve the problem, the Zoo Keeper approached a local redneck, Bobby Lee with a proposition. Would he be willing to mate with the gorilla for $500.00? Bobby Lee showed some interest, but said he would have to think the matter over carefully. The following day, he announced that he would accept their offer, but only under four conditions. "First", Bobby Lee said, "I ain't gonna kiss her on the lips." The Keeper quickly agreed to this condition. "Second", he said, "You can't never tell no one about this." The Keeper again readily agreed to this condition. "Third", Bobby Lee said, "I want all the children raised Southern Baptist." Once again it was agreed. And last, Bobby Lee said, "I'll need another week to come up with the $500.00."
  6. Ugh, woke up at 6am before school. Turn on the tv and the satellite is out for no reason on espn 2 but not espn, espn news, or espn classic. Oh well, Im watching it now. Great game to start the season.
  7. Owww muddy. I better talk some smack now before the season starts because I dont think i will have much to talk about. It's not looking to bright this year. The good news is for the first time since about 2003, you can get tix easy. Okay, who is waking up at 6am tomorrow morning to watch the first game of the season between the Sox and A's? I know i am.
  8. I just got back from it and it was dissapointing. The leader would just pull away and leave everyone in the dust.
  9. I hardly ever wear cologne but if i do its Abercrombie and fitch fierce.
  10. Levis 559 relaxed fit. Look good and feel great.
  11. The Marlins did not buy two world series titles, they sold away at least two more world series titles. They unloaded all of their players after '97 and then within' two years all of the '03 leaders were gone. Consider a healthy lineup and rotation with their '03 team today. 1. Beckett 2. Penny 3. Burnett 4. Willis 5. Pavano That might be the best rotation in MLB today. They also had Derek Lee, Miguel Cabrera, Juan pierre, Luis Castillo, Mike Lowell, Ivan Rodriguez, Alex Gonzalez, and Juan Encarnacion. What the Marlins have done by winning 2 world series in 7 years is amazing since they did it with 2 completely different teams with almost all guys from their own farm system. If the owners would spend some money, the Marlins would still be winning world series. The Cubs need to stop trying to buy a world series and strengthen their farm system and try the marlins way of winning a world series.
  12. Yeah I loved watching him fish. I was pullin for him in the end. His wife was right, he is dissapearing Charley on the final day. When I first saw him on Friday I couldnt decide if he looked more like Brian Mcnamee or Andy Dick.
  13. ESPN.com has live coverage but its not working for me. Is it working for anyone else? http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/live/index
  14. I think the live cameras will be free tomorrow but this sounds like a good deal. I've been meaning to sign up for BASS for a while now...
