  1. You can use any rod for anything. Glass rods just work BEST with treble hook baits. I personally only use them for crank baits. I prefer the sensitivity and action of graphite for everything else.
  2. I have a Phenix recon PHX-C682L, it's 6'8" light paired with a Shimano curado 50e with 8lb fluorocarbon. I mostly just use it for small weightless plastics and sometimes dropshot or shakyhead.
  3. I use the double uni. Uni knot is the only knot you ever need to know.
  4. Most I have ever spent is $20 on a spro bbz-1 swimbait.
  5. Lowest I use currently is 8lb but I have used 6lb before.
  6. What about the *** *** black? Amazing rod for $100, I love mine.
  7. Yea I haven't had any problems with them. Actually I never worry about the shipping of reels, only rods and all my rods from them are perfect.
  8. I wouldn't save mono or fluoro for too long but braid seems to last forever.
  9. Shimano reels are still great and their customer service is the best.
  10. Not really trying to defend shimano but you don't know what overpriced is till you use the gen 2 Abu Garcia revo STX. I can't believe I payed $200 for this thing, worst purchase ever. I wouldn't even pay $100 for one of these.
  11. Sorry nevermind, you sent the message after you posted in this thread. Thanks for the quick response.
  12. Do you guys ever plan to make handles with eva grips? I want one but I don't like the cork.
  13. Phenix recon 6'8 L w/ shimano curado 50e - weightless plastics Phenix recon2 7'1 H w/ shimano chronarch 200e7 - jigs Phenix composite x 7'6 MH w/ abu garcia revo stx - crankbaits *** *** black 7'1 MH w/ shimano curade 200e7 - texas rigs I also have a shimano crucial for flipping but it needs a reel. Probably going to replace the revo stx with a chronarch 200e5 and use the revo stx with my crucial.
