  1. Sneaky, you're killin' me man.(As well as you others that fish more than that). Five times a week. UGH!! In August I bought a used Ranger...That week gas prices nearly hit $4/gal. The next week I was told I had to have hernia surgery...turned out it was TWO hernias. Doc said don't even set a hook on'em anytime soon. It's been cold and wet here in N. Carolina for weeks. Went out in my one-man boat last Monday only to get half-way across the lake and discover I had a HOLE in my boat. Now, what was your question again? And did I mention that you guys are killin' me? GREAT FISHING GUYS!!
  2. Thanks guys...actuallly agreed to $6000.00 last night..think I'll go for it.
  3. Hey guys,' Ive been looking at a 1995 Ranger 374V, johnson 150, 18',complete....gentleman is asking $7500.00. Any advice appreciated. Thanks, davmac
  4. An electric fillet knife is one of the best purchases I ever made.
  5. Congrats Muddy..and thank you for sharing that with us all. It certainly brightened up my dreary, rainy day here in N.C. And many thanks for helping people that are/were in a situation similar to yours. And please know in your heart that you are a Heaven sent blessing to them.
  6. Hey Fishguy...I get the same thing..especially if I catch a few larger fish while fishing from my one man boat. I usually just tell my wife I had to wrestle a bear or something before I could get on the water!!
  7. Welcome NJ..you'll love it here
  8. Welcome Kana..best of luck fishing in Japan...keep us updated on anything new!!
  9. Nice catch Kelso!! And congrats on the retirement. I know I'm wishing my life away but I am SO looking forward to retiring. Just curious..are by chance related to Sterling Marlin?
  10. Way to go Fatback. The bass in your area are already in the skillet...they just don't know it yet!!! Remember there is a website you can download to practice or learn just about anything you will need to know with the 320. Go git'em.
  11. hangul, That seat looks great. Does the back section of the seat flex backwards or recline at all? If so I will have to bite the bullet and get one. Or does anyone know of a seat that will recline at all?
  12. Welcome Hydrilla, You've picked the best site in the world. Hope you have a great season.
  13. Hey there skunk, I have the same problem... I fractured 2 vertebrae , right dead center of my back, when I was in the 82 ABN Div. I have no idea how much $'s I've spent on seats basically trying to get out cheap. Finally I bought the Tempress Navistyle seat at BPS. ($99). At the time they didn't have the Hi-Back version. I ended up buying the Hi-Back this year for my one-man boat but I actually prefer the low-back better. I truly wish you the best with your back, and I wish I could be of more help. I actually took a car seat, from a Chevy Cavalier, (because you can recline those seats) modified it , put it in my Bass Hunter, but it looked like I was sitting on a big ol' throne so i canned that idea.
  14. H E L P !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ??? ???
  15. Mud_Man...LMAO!!!!!! Oh yeah...Go TARHEELS
  16. Hey Bassin, The transducer I use is mounted to the side of the boat only by a suction cup(very strong too). The 320 weighs only 2-3 lbs. Most of the weight is due to the 8-D batteries required. Opened, it sits about 7-8 inches tall. It's probably 5-6 inches wide(I'm at work so I can't give you the exact deminsions). Closed, it has a carrying handle. The screen on the 320 , about 5 in, is a little larger than most, which as I get older I tend to appreciate more(LOL). In shallow water it's great, probably because it sits a little higher mounted to the side of the boat compared to mounted on a trolling motor, therefore catching less debris. I do like your idea of the 2 transducers though. Another thing, the batteries seem to last a LONG time with the FishEasy II and the 320. I've only had to replace them twice at most over the course of the summer. Both are great and not all that expensive considering the features. Great Fishing
  17. One other thing, Fatback, earlier this year I had to replace all my equipment and I daily searched all the fishing forums I could find for advice on everything. This is the most friendly and helpful board out there in my opinion. Anything you need or want to know you can find here. Good fishing!! ***Pssst: Just between me and you...I don't think Glenn or J.T. really catch any fish. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  18. The clamp-on that I had was called Fishin' Buddy....the portables that I use in my one man or two man boats have a suction cup on the transducer. I wouldn't recommend it for high speeds, but for 1 & 2 man boating they're great. I have never had a problem with the Eagle products. I have noticed some complaints on this board from guys who have used other brands. Hope this helps you, especially if you're looking for a portable unit.
  19. My stepdad just gave me his old Crawdad boat, purchased in 1983. The boat is in great shape other than the finish (plastic) has faded somewhat. I want to fix it up for my 17 yr old. Do any of you know of a product that will restore and maintain the finish? Thanks in advance.
  20. fatback, are you looking for a portable finder? If so I've 2 eagles..Fisheasy II and the 320. like both of them.
  21. back off abel, I saw him first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Laurinburg, NC. On the NC/SC line. Lots of farm ponds.
  23. Hey KU_BASSMASTER, You and I may have a huge delima on our hands. (I'm a huge UNC fan) If the Jayhawks and Tarheels meet in the finals, it'll be at or around the spawning season. Oh my. MY throat is getting dry..my hands are sweaty..Final Four/ Spawning Bass ..Huge Unc fan..............hey if I give you my cell pone number will you call me on my boat with the score?
  24. Welcome Yak..been a member for about a week myself..from what I've seen here I promise you won't be disappointed.. The biggest problem with this site is finding enough hours in the day.
  25. I used to live in a small town in SC where I coached the high school boys' JV and Varsity Basketball teams. A local farmer owned a beautiful 7 acre pond in the middle of nowhere with a single-wide trailer setup, picnic area etc, that NOBODY used. I was one of 3 people he let fish the pond. There was a point where I repeatedly missed a big bass. Well one Saturday about mid-day I pulled up to the point, determined not to move 'til I caught him. It started getting really hot, in the mid 90's and I was wearing heavy winter Army pants. Well I decided since I was alone I would just strip down to my boxer drawers and cool off a little. Took off my shoes, got my pants just below my knees, plastic worm still in the water, and Mr. Bighead decides to take off with my rod. I lunged forward, caught my rod and began to fight. During the tussle the john boat caught wind, moved around the point, and I looked up to see Mr. Farmer's wife and a couple of mini-vans coming down the hill, loaded with the girls' JV & Varsity basketball teams as well as cheerleaders coming to enjoy their annual team picnic, and there's Coach Mac propped up on his knees, in his drawers, losing that fish again. And you know, I will never be remembered for helping win championships.
