  1. Robo worm all the way. love the prism shad color and mm3 or oxblood. But have also been using green weenie on a dart head.
  2. I would have to say summer craw or green pumpkin but i am leaning to the green pumpkin side
  3. This is a great bait. I fish them texas rigged what consist of a bobber stopper your weight i dont usually go any higher then a 3/8 unless i am punching which i use upwards of an ounce and then your hook i like a 3/0 to 4/0 ewg hook but when punching i use paycheck baits punch hook. This is my go to creature bait and i like green pumpkin just for simplicity. Hope this helps
  4. Football heads maybe even weedless football heads
  5. Put things somewhere in the boat that you know they won't fly out and put the baits that you take off of a rod and put them there and then when you get home or whatever take those baits and put them back where they come from. No need to keep taking your tackle out of your boat unless you keep it outdoors.
  6. Pull out rod straps
  7. Honestly tracker boats has came out with some nice boats and even the bass boat style one you can still pull a tube in and everything else and then there is the run about ones they make like the muskie ones which are good for a family. Or believe it or not how about a bass buggy pontoon boat you cans still do things with the family and you can mount a trolling motor on them. Just some suggestions
  8. Mend it is the best thing known to man kind... I use it for glass eyes all the time on swim baits and that.
  9. Dobyns 736 and a lews tournament pro is my favorite set up or a revo premier. I like the 736 because it is my frog rod and i love to frog fish.
  10. Love the boat and motor have the same set up. Gets us to around 73 to 74. Cant figure out why it takes a while to start but we will find out. We have almost 700 hours on it. Bought it with 10 hours as a demo boat. Love it and yeah it has a lot of torque.
  11. Im a young kid and my family is taking a trip to Chicago in late may and I would like to do some bass fishing. If you guys know of any good guides in the area let me know. Thank you and tight lines all.
  12. yes it does work. Through hollow bodies on the back. I have had buddies grab huge bags out there. Fish it with a heavy rod and 80 pound or 65 pound braid.
  13. Yeah. I have seen fish on beds lately. Try throwing a brown and purple half ounce jig and fish it really slow. I have been using a half ounce football jig head and a 5 yamamoto hula grub. The bites are light they swim away with it. With the Hula Grub i have been using green pumpkin, cinnamon with black, and cinnamon with purple. Most success with green pumpkin.
  14. Okay. I was going to say I want to live there. That would be a fish I want a lake like that here. Hah.
  15. You ment fifteen inches right hah if not I want to move close to that lake hah.
  16. 15 pound p line cxx. Best line out there for spinnerbaits
  17. this is the way i look at it if bass are being finicky than throw a smaller worm on like a gamakatsu one odd hook texas rig it on a painted bullet weight and i would recommend you peg it and use a smaller weight. will slow that fall down. you can t rig those you tails i have done that.
  18. Hello, let me know what you think of those after you have fished them because I wouldnt mind knowing if it is worth going out and trying them. If you don't mind me asking how much do those run at bps.
  19. Yeah luckily for me we were able to pick on back up in 2004 pretty much brand new it is a z520 comanche with a evinrude 225ho on the back and hydraulic jackplate. with a min kota fortrex 101 on it. We got it with less then twenty hours on it for pretty cheap. If we wouldnt of found that deal we would not have it. But i will always have her.
  20. we have an 04 225 ho and really have had no major problems with it. We have blown the lower unit gears and thats about it. i mean other then the spark plugs that we change every year. has not really gave us any problems at all and pushes the boat to a little over 72
  21. very nice boat she is going to take flight when you open here up with that motor we have a friend with that motor he loves it. he hits around 76 with three quarters of a tank and a light tournament load on board and two people its a good motor.
  22. see them all the time out on the water and have never seen one broken down so that shows something hah. have you looked at a mid 90's ranger. great boats and ride great if you keep lookin you can get one for a good deal
  23. great looking boat and good setup and i notice you said you have a hds-5. well lowrance uses humminbirds structure scan so you would get a better deal on humminbird i just dont like humminbird so we went with the hds-10 and hds-8 with sctructure scan. love it to death
  24. i believe you can buy a new shaft off of ebay or even call motorguide. Changing one out cant be that difficult. I would just say call motor guides headquarters there tech department and have them pan out your options. My uncle replaces his maxxum 101 shaft on his ranger z520 just recently after i had hit a rock with it while going across the california delta. I paid for the damage even though the only damage was a bent shaft and cracked prop
  25. look for like a 1996 chevy or gmc pickup those 5.7 vortec motors are hard to kill and great for towing
