  1. This time of year Florida is a great place to fish with a flipping rod or the worst place to fish if a cold front hits. If you watched the Bassmaster Open this past week the weights were low because of the cold front that hit. The funny thing is that wasn't even that bad of a cold front. If we would have had a colder front come down you would have seen lots of zeros. Good part about Florida is we can fish year round.
  2. Dirty jigs for me. I won't use anything else and especially their no-jack punchin and flipping jigs. Great for the nasty stuff.
  3. Glad I live in Florida so I don't have to worry about the winter. Winter in Florida is going out and catching 1-2 fish because the bite is slow.
  4. I cut a path in the lake I fish every time it starts to grow over. Then I fish it at the same time. Never had any problems catching fish after cutting everything down. So cut and it fish don't worry about doing it on a day you don't plan on fishing.
  5. I bought one from Gander Mountain for $2 and have to say it was the best $2 I have spent. Great lure for the summer and fall.
  6. Frogs, crawfish pattern lipless crankbaits, and 1/2oz dirty jigs with a kinky beaver trailer. That's what has been working for me lately.
  7. Looking for a fish finder for my kayak but not sure what to get. What kind of fishfinder do you have on your kayak? I'm looking at humminbird 571 HD but wanted to know if you guys had a review on this one or something else you guys use.
  8. Rage tail shellcracker on a 1/2oz. dirty jigs tour level no-jack flipping jig. Nothing but 3lb+ fish on this combo.
  9. Now you will be hooked on frog fishing.
  10. X2 I do the same thing and it works great.
  11. I use a 2500 fuego on a 7'7" gloomis bronzeback rod. The combo works great and has caught me tons of fish. I've never had a problem with the rod and saltwater. I just rinse it off with fresh water when I get home.
  12. WOW! That is a hawg!
  13. I love the yum dinger. They last longer and are cheaper. The colors I like are watermelon red, watermelon seed and green pumpkin.
  14. Very nice fish.
  15. I use mine for everything. Crankbaits, jigs, t-rigs, c-rigs, spinnerbaits and I even cast shakey head Ike spike with no problems.
