  1. Only 2 offer scholarships, the rest are clubs. You can just enter if you want.
  2. " Be Real " " Be Realistic " While Im at it? How about you put me 6 ft under and left for dead because that is when Ill quit. When Im dead. That what makes people adults. They give up there dreams and they lose their youth. I might as well be peter pan and live in neverland where you never grow up because I wont give up on my dream just because some "Adults" who sit in a cubicle and have eventful conversations at a water cooler, tell me to. I respect your view, respect mine.
  3. im and MI guy so im true to the Vandams. But Palaniuk is someone I really look up to. Consistent, versatile, and focused. Everything you need to excel in the sport. Hes always hanging around, great character too. He said that quote I think it was during the classic. "Success is when preparation meets Opportunity." That statement carries alot of truth, and its self evident. BP, is awesome. If I could fish with one pro, it would be him no doubt. But when it comes to fishing, everyone can teach you sonething. I never forget that.
  4. Hey Guys. I just wanted to hear your thoughts on Clay Dyer? He is such an inspiration to me. Living proof that your dreams are never to big. I believe we could all learn alot from him. He has alot of wisdom and is a sharp human being. No rude comments please because he is a good example of what good is left in this world. Thanks.
  5. "Loose lips sink ships". Dont believe everything you hear. Especially that!
  6. I did awesome on a Trap. I caught a 5.5lb and a 7lberc a couple days ago. They were on a Spro Aruku Shad, then again I live in Michigan so the conditions could be way different
  7. With the conditions you dis the right thing of finding clear water. Secondary points are good this time of year. They provode staging areas for fish before they spawn. I wouldve thrown a jerkbait or crankbait when that win kicked up though.
  8. Top 40 in BFL Points in Michigan Win one of my two state tournaments And have some fun along the way.
  9. Yes you can do that. Sponsors love being represented by people that they don't sponsor it shows drive. Thats a great way to get sponsored.
  10. If your fishing big water, like the great lakes, you can never go wrong with an LC Pointer
  11. Lipless cranks are a great tool for smallies. Just pay attention to the conditons and water temp. Beginning of the year you should use a slow retrieve and thr pauses should be longer. But as the year continues and it gets warmer, you shoild have a more steady retrieve with little to no pauses. Its a common miss conception, lipless cranks and jerkbaits can both be fished effectively year round if you know how to use them.
  12. Very similar to S.W.A.G. Jigs AP structure jig. Which I've caught hogs on.
  13. Dropshotting is a chess match... i use a powell endurance 7'3" med lt 6 lb mccoy floro. Find a spinning reel with a slow retrieve, because horsing giant bronzebacks = the one that got away. I use a 2/O trokar dropshot hook. 9 times out of 10 i throw a green pumpkin cruncher baits dropshot tube, the other 1 time i use a 10 inch berkley gulp power worm june bug. Its an art, you learn how and when to throw it. Also, dont set the hook, reel down and pull up. Your drag should be loose, so you should hear it on the hook set. Also, take needlenose pliers and bend the hook out so the barb isnt facing the eye, it should be parallel to the shank, i tie a palomar, i take the tag and put it back thru the eye after I sinch the knot, so the hook is upright in the water. Watch Aaron Martens, Brent Ehler,or any of the Vandams, you can learn alot from them!
  14. Sordy for those words that werent relevant at all.. im using my phone, which sometimes adds words.
  15. Alot of this is true. Also, sponsorships don't make you a better angler, all it is , is discounts, free stuff, and a 99$day shirt from Rayjus outdoors lol. But sponshorships are nice. But to all those kids eho strive to reach there goals, DO NOT GIVE UP. Keep at it, and one day you will be the guy on stage weighing in a 25lockdown pound bag and watchin thr guys in the crowd joke about,"jeez, wonder where his lobster cage full of bass is?".
  16. Gander reels and rods are quantum.
  17. Crankbait.. i use PLine either 15lb-17lb floro, jig i use 17lb mccoy floro. If your looking for line on baitcaster, 10 and up is good, if you use light line on a baitcaster it causes backlashes, and spinning reels i go with 6-10lb mccoy floro with 12lb mono as the backing. Keep about an 1/8th inch of space in the spools. Hope i helped.
  18. Powell 7'3" md lt diesel.. enough said. Or endurance 7'1" med lt. Both great rods, 7'3" is more sensative.
  19. I understand what you guys mean. I dont do "questiinable things"... I'm a well mannered, CLEAN,young man. Its a park, leads to a school. People feed deer there alot. A guy my brother works with actually saw it too. Btw i hunt. I know trespassers are annoying. My brother chased a guy off our property on opening day bow... and its a 200 yd stretch of woods. C Its illegal too hunt there. In a city with a population of 100k. You cant hunt anywhere... I appreciate the good comments and am offended by the negative. "If you don't have anything good too say, don't say it all." Thats how the old saying goes right?
  20. Hey guys, I have an awesome story to share! Earlier today, after school, I drove to a banquet hall and applied, and on the way back to my house I saw a small 200 yd stretch of woods with 2 trails on each side heading back into it. My friend and I, also a big hunter, decided to hike back in there. Seeing a bunch of tracks and trails created by deer, we decided to walk to the end of the 1st trail. Then we reached a school, walked along the fence of the school and into a trail, that turned out to be the other trail further down the road. We walked in, and noticed rubs, and I mean, HUGE rubs, trees were destroyed. We got anxious we kept walking, and walking. I heard some leaves stur up. I stopped, looked up, and looked at the biggest buck I've ever seen. Trying to count all the points I could. Then it walked away into a thicket. I told my friend we should back out, wait awhile and comeback in. So we did. On our way in, my buddy said,"Is that him, or a branch?". I saw it too, not sure, I did a snort and weeze. It turned and looked right at me! When he looked away I said, get down, thats him! We made a plan to sneak up on him different ways. I went through some thick stuff, and he snuck from tree to tree. I was 15 yds, and finally got a clean look. I counted, 13 points, including a split brough and two drop tines! One drop time was very small, but noticeable. The deer got up and walked towards my buddy. I signled to back out so we didn't spook him, and my friend got a snapshot of this beautiful michigan buck! This buck is between, 190-200 score deer, easily 280 lbs or more. We plan on setting up tomorrow and sit, and see if we can see him again, considering you can't hunt because its in a neighborhood! You never know where a world class buck will ly waiting for you too stumble upon him! Good hunting to everyone!
  21. The rut in Michigan just started, I'm hoping it works. Good luck man!
  22. I want to try this product, because on my property there are multiple deer that could be the dominant buck in the area. I did find a big rub, and a scrape in one area, and was just wondering if Rub Line Slime truly does work. Just trying to set myself up on a date with a dandy! Thanks guys.
