  1. Its a cool deal... For southern states. TBF runs it better than BASS as far as highschool goes
  2. Thank you guys, I think I learned more than what I was really after but that is always okay, hope brian is okay with it! Lol
  3. Hey everyone, I was watching the weigh in at the St Lawrence Seaway yesterday on bassmaster. I had heard it was windy and that it had fished tougher than previous days. Now, I have a lot of confidence in throwing a dropshot, but Aaron Martens said something that really threw me off. It should though he has mastered the technique, he made a comment about how he shouldve or he did, used a longer leader, shortened the worm, and lightened the weight. I can understand the light weight, and shortening the bait, but can someone who understands this put this into perspective for me?? Thank you!
  4. Powell Diesel 6'10" med hvy.? 69.99 bucks a lot less than an ***!
  5. It's awesome! I love powell, I through jigs, spinnerbaits, and flip and pitch with it. It is a great rod, a lot of back bone and sensitivity!
  6. I use 17lb Seaguar floro, a lot more sensitive and no stretch.
  7. 1,2,9, and 10 are true... in my books. 9, everyone beats the banks! Even non bass fisherman its easy, you catch a drift and make a visual cast. No one wants to sit in 20 feet of water with a dropshot or shakey head, I will because that is what it takes to win! 10, I can't stress enough. If you are are getting bit on a rockpile in 11-14 ft of water, why fish lily pads, find more rockpiles in 11-14 ft of water and duplicate the pattern!
  8. Drop Shot! Roboworm! 3/16 oz. Weight can't beat that setup. Fish sloooooooooooooow. Everyone wants to catch fish and fish fast. Fish slow, and you will get more bites. If you can find isolated rockpiles big spawned out females will hold up on those. Not in numbers but solid 3+ lb fish!
  9. Okay, I need to clear this up. My dad and I are looking for a GOOD unit with either Side Imaging(Hummingbird) or Structure Scan(Lowrance). Now, I know when you are paying say, $1000 for a certain lowrance unit, that is without the transducer, the transducer is separate and is like another 600 or so dollars. My dad doesn't like that. But when you are buying a Hummingbird, are you just paying for the Module, or does the Transducer come with so its a one and done deal, you aren't looking for anything else? Thanks for you help.
  10. Who heard about the new Powell Rods? They leaked, they are being shown at ICAST. Haven't heard much about them... EXCITED to say the least. I just picked up an Endurance 6101 LEF and a Max 7'0" MLEF. Anyone ever use Powell? I do, religously. Are you guys excited for the new line? Tightlines!
  11. Okay, Ive heard rumors for awhile about this magical lake in a fairy tale world. Where a 30lb bag isnt good enough for first place? JVD said his five biggest went 33+ once... and I have heard peole catching 35lb bags..? Smallmouth, thats about 7lbs a fish. Its not Burt/Mullet, Skegemog, Bellaire, Torch or any of those. I personally think its Charlevoix. Someone solve help me solve this!
  12. Oh yeah.... you hit it right on the head.... thanks for the input and the ultimatum.
  13. Mine are .. 1. Brantley Gilbert. BGNation! 2. Justin Moore 3. Jason Aldean 4. Luke Bryan 5. Dierks Bentley name yours!
  14. Very true. I have my own saying "keep a tight lip and an open mind". Anyone can teach you something.
