  1. lol well if that chart is right it is a much higher stretch line than mono
  2. They uh........ are never not wet are they?
  3. Yup, i used to go to a large creek feeding the local river with nothing but a box of hooks and sinkers and start kicking over rocks
  4. How many of the top guys threw "the rig"?
  5. Depends on where you live. There are mountains around here that you could not get over towing a big boat with a v6. I had a norriscraft 1900vee with a 225 pro max i bet you could have towed with a mini. That thing weighed almost nothing. I have a big Dodge ram with the small V8 and couldn't tell it was back there.
  6. Yep, if you are so afraid of dying that you are willing to kill as many as it takes to survive just to live in a world that is completely obliterated.......you have problems. If it comes it comes and i'd rather die like a man than live like a coward.
  7. He could have an 8lber shoved up an inch away from the lens too. Hard to say as their isn't much in the background
  8. Heavier than the Veritas? Aren't the villian rods supposed to be the lightest of the bunch????
  9. I have a particular aversion to thieves that is.....unseemly. Something about it makes me angry even beyond murder.
  10. I mostly fish tva lakes and the biggest bass i have ever seen come out of one is a 7lb largemouth, caught by yours truly.
  11. How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck gets shot in the face with a 12 gauge slug?
  12. Jezz it looks like it didn't even chip the paint on that cargo ship! Wow! Makes me wonder how sturdy that bridge was in the first place.
  13. My bet is manning is done period.
  14. Well they are obviously gonna see what you did when you send it in and they aren't gonna change their minds just for the fact that it is there. Save yourself some cash and come clean. If they don't say yes on the phone they won't fix it when you send it in.
  15. Apparently it looks like this. I probably wouldn't notice it myself.
  16. What I have done in the past is find a really good hull without a motor or with a junk motor and just put a brand new motor on it. A hull is a hull. Buy an older gambler and throw a new motor on it, put whatever electronics you want on it and bang a 60,000 dollar boat for half the price.
  17. Those tank demos are a joke at the bass pro near Knoxville. Those fish will eat anything they throw in the tank. They couldn't even show lure action because the fish kept eating everything before they could even move it.
  18. Have read some bad things about them quality control wise. People say they used bad epoxy and it cracks all over the place. Just thought i'd put that out there.
  19. I meant the squared off parts near the belly, I suppose that is what keeps em from rolling no?
  20. Are those lakes small lakes? Most of the places i fish are man made so there are no native fish really, most all of them are stocked species, I guess you count what was in the river prior to the dam being built as true natives though.
  21. That is interesting, is it just really small lake phenomenon because most of the successful bass fisheries that i know of are also successful crappie lakes. On the same topic is the types of bluegill you can put into that type of pond/lake important?
  22. Does the speed fins have something to do with how deep they will run? 8 seems about right for the size of that bill depending on what type of line you were using so i would say they don't but was just interested. I'd be really interested in a really deep diving version that you could burn like those things and they just seem to glide through the water with very little resistance. Impressive!
  23. I saw a Hank Parker episode where he was on a small private lake and they encouraged taking out crappie to help the bass. How does that work? Crappie is a forage species for bass and would only be detrimental to fry right?
  24. Another factor to consider is if they were sitting outside alot. My uncle has an awesome looking stratos that is 18 ft but it was left out in the rain and is now water logged. I know you are thinking they have no wood in them and that is true but they are full of foam and that foam soaks up water like, well foam. The thing weights more than most 21 ft boats i have pulled. I know its not a stratos thing either because i have pulled another boat just like it except it only had one console and I couldn't even tell it was behind me!
  25. Fishing multiple rods at one time against the rules. This is an attempt to get by that. If you don't get that I can't help ya. Whether it can destroy a fishery or not is debatable but the fact is this and the other multiple lure deals are against the reason the multiple rod rule was implemented. What those reasons are i dunno but if you don't like it take up walleye or crappie tournament fishing. If you allow this then allow it all I say. If its all about catching the most that you can then show up with a livewell full of shiners and troll away with those 20 rods. The haves and have nots deal is just insulting.
