  1. I agree with both posts so far. I went with a 7' MHF paired with a chronarch 201E6 as my kind of all around rod but after awhile I found myself using my 7' MF Crucial rod paired with a curado 51e. I would lean more toward the medium fast rod honestly if I had to purchase again.
  2. If your talking rod alone being under 200, I personally use a shimano crucial 7' M fast action rod paired with a curado 51e. I use it for all of my lighter baits. That thing will cast just about anything, great feel and enough backbone to pull a good sized bass out of cover. You can pick a crucial up for around $150 - 160.
  3. I've thrown 1/4 oz a lot before. That's mainly what I bought this rod for. I think I kinda asked the wrong question. How do you think the 4-6 lb line will work?
  4. I am getting ready to take a trip to Bennett Springs,MO. I want to do some trout fishing and I know most people use light setups to fish for trout, typically spinning reels. I have several bait casting setups I use for bass fishing. Just wanted some input about putting 4-6lb mono on a curado 50e paired with a crucial rod Medium fast 7'. I think it would work fine to cast 1/4 oz rooster tails or some spoons. Any input would be appreciated.
  5. I recently purchased a Duckett 7' MH paired with a Chronarch 201E6 as an all purpose setup and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. I caught several bass all the way up to an 8 pounder and have had no issues. I would highly recommend a Duckett.
  6. I have a few ducketts, using them on baitcasters only but I absolutely love them. Great quality and great warranty. I haven't heard too many good things about the rage. I hear a lot of people aren't a huge fan of the neoprene grip. If you need the feel than the cork is going to suit you better in my opinion. Do check out the shimano rods though they are very nice. Also might not hurt to pick up an avid rod and see how it feels. A little more pricey ( only 20 more than a duckett) but also great quality.
  7. I have narrowed my selection down to either avid's or ducketts. Has anyone fished both or have any personal preference between these two. Any advice would help. I am going to buy 3 rods in about two days. They will be paired with a curado 51e, chronarch 200e5 and chronarch 200e6.
  8. also i have read a lot into the micro guides while researching the duckett's. Does anyone have any experience with these guides?
  9. I have been leaning toward the duckett rods. I really like the feel of them and i can't help but to love how they look with the new chronarch's on them.
  10. Hey guy's, I am just recently got back into fishing and I am absolutely hooked. I am trying to build a well rounded arsenal of rods and reels. I just bought a curado 51E, chronarch 200E5 and chronarch 200E6. I am trying to decide on rods to match with these reels and I am having a hard time because I am not extremely knowledgable as to which type of rod i should use for what. I know most sites will say what the rods are good for but I was some people's personal opinions about what they would use with these three reels. I figured I would use the curado 51E for finesse baits or weightless plastics. The 200E6 for worming and kind of a all purpose rod and the 200E5 for crankin'. Any input would be helpful as to what rods and what applications i should use with each of these reels. Thanks
  11. Just picked up a couple curado 51E's from TW for $109.99. Just wanted to see what kind of setup's other people have with this reel and what type of fishing they typically do with their setup. Thanks.
  12. Thanks for the replies. My intent is to mainly use this rod for wormin.
  13. I just purchased a Chronarch 201E6 and am thinking about pairing it up with a Duckett Micro Magic 6'9 MH. Does anyone have any experience with Duckett's or any other recommendations for rods to pair with this reel?
