  1. C-roy does your boat have one battery or two if the unit has the filter inline installed one thing that might cause this problem is the unit sharing the same battery with the trolling motor this is one thing that could cause that kind of problem with dsi units. hope this might help you
  2. C-roy does this unit do that when you run your trolling motor or does it do this all the time, the only thing I can think of is, in the box the unit came in there is a round black thing with wires sticking out both ends sorry I can't think of the name of it, this part that goes between the battery and the unit on the positive side of the battery to reduce interference in this unit. Hope this might help you out.
  3. Sun Fish If you have been fishing from a glass boat for a long time, I believe you would not be happy with the 175 txw don't get me wrong its a great boat but it does'nt have the stability that a glass boat has. But the best answer for you would be if you know someone that has a 175 txw and try it out and then make your decision on your next boat. but remember this to that the newer glass boats will ride better then your current boat will because most all are going to be wider.
  4. they are for the transducer cable on the trolling motor
  5. i can speak from experence, I've owned a 175TXW and its a great boat but like the other replies said it has a smaller livewell and the wind blows it around more and to me the ride does'nt compare to glass. I now own a Z6 so I know the difference between the two boats the z6 has a larger livewell much bigger front deck and it is a very stable boat it does'nt rock you around when your buddy in the back moves around. and the overall layout of the boat is better it has a lot more storage. and the ride from a glass boat is great. and the 115hp motor on the z6 won't break you up to operate it. go glass you'll be happy.
  6. I would try ebay, they have lots of outboard parts. maybe they might have one reasonably priced.
  7. I would first start by cleaning the carbs, if they have never been clean that could be more than likely your problem. and changing the spark plugs.
