  1. I had a quick question that I wanted to ask. When I fishing spooks or flukes for more than 30 mins my wrist begins to hurt real bad. I don't know what this is caused from. Could this be from my rod or reel or mabey it's my grip. Has anyone else has this problem, and what did you do to fix it.
  2. I heard that when the first full moon in February i the crawfish hatch. which it takes them 2-3 weeks to get full size. The next full moon in March is the start of the prespawn, and the March full moon is tomorrow night. Whether this is true or not is beyond me. This is what i'v been told by old salty fishermen.
  3. always use some sort of trailer. Although my friend caught a 6lber with no trailer on a pink jg.
  4. 1. Lure: 3/8 oz brown jig with match pig 2. presentation: Flippin/pitchin 3. depth: 5 foot 4: location:down trees 5: cover: wood
  5. It is very illegal in my state to do that in a bass tournament. I was going to just cut the rope and toss the cage over but, I didn't want to litter the lake with a metal cage. Next time I will call TWRA and, report it
  6. On this lake there are tounaments 4out of the 7 days of the week everyweek from March through October On Tuesday, Thursday ,Friday, Saturday
  7. I went fishing the other day when I came upon a floating jug out in the middle of the lake at first I thought it was just trash someone threw out but, upon closer inspection I saw a rope tied to it. My first thought was someone was jugging for catfish. So out of curiosity I pulled up the rope. When I finally got the rope pulled up I was surprised to find a cage with bass in it. I found 3 nice size bass. this made me angry when I found this so I releasd the bass, and then I took the cage home with me. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen on there waters?
  8. The bait monkey is a good friend. We only go around once in this life, and you might as well get anything you want. Next time the monkey tells you to get a reel get it, use it, and enjoy it.
  9. One thing that you could do is tightenup reel just a pinch this may help with overhand. The only time I ever use an overhand cast is when I am trying to sling a crankbait a country mile but, even when I do that my rod is at a 45 degree angle. I learned on side arm, and I find it is the best way. So there is really no need for the overhand cast.
  10. I live in eastern Tennessee near Knoxville. Rumor has it that Lake Chilhowee which is Near the great Smokey Moutains has the new World Record Smallmouth lurking in the water. Someone told me that TWRA was doing a shock census, and they found him he weighed over 12lbs. I dunno if they was blowing smoke, but the lake is Smallmouth dominant. THis lake also has stock rainbow trout for the bigger smallmouth to eat. This lake is deep and grassy. Do you think this is true?
  11. Hey Chris can I see a picture of how you double fluke it sounds very interesting
  12. I don't really like useing the float and fly technique I have more success with just a fly. What I do is I use a white fly, and I drop it all the way till I feel the bottom. Then after I feel the bottom I reel up about 5 feet, and drift. This techniqued worked well this weekend when I landed a 5 Pound smallie. I also caught others including a 3 pounder, and several 1-2 pounders. I find this technique very effective from mid January threw end of February.
