  1. Oh OK, your right now that I look at it. I had a CI200, thats what I was thinking of. Well, can you put a bearing on the spool shaft of the new one? Also, I guess have that bushing you are talking about replaced with a bearing too. My Model is the new Citica G6.
  2. The bushing that is replaced with a bearing is on the spool shaft, at least that is also what I want done, or just get a Curado Spool.
  3. Not trying to jack the thread, but the bearing upgrade from the bushing on the Citica does not help casting distance? Either way, I have a Citica G, and would like it to perform like my Curado (to an extent, I know its not completely possible), what do you do, and how much? Thank you
  4. Spend an extra $30 and get a Curado. If not, then go with the Citica, its built better.
  5. There is the canal system that runs along Sawgrass Expressway. Plenty of fish in there. Largemouth, snakeheads, peacock, talapia, myan cichlids, etc.
  6. Mine has my 50E on it with 12# Yozuri. Pretty much my light rigged plastics, or whatever I decide to tie to it. Just nothing for real heavy cover.
  7. Oh, we dont have here,
  8. Get the Pro Qualifier, I dont know about this Z reel. It just doesnt seem right.
  9. I personally dont like the STX, I went with the SX. Dual brakes is just too much, for me its one or the other, not both. I have a BPS Pro Qualifier, and I like it, but I dont like the braking system. There is nothing like the Shimano products (Curado, Chronarch), so I understand why you would rather have one of those.
  10. Get a Berkley Lightning Shock Rod. Tough as hell, and very good price. I own 4 of them, but for baitcasters, they hold up just as good as rods that are over $100.
  11. Weight savings, good looks, some things that are true. To me the feel of the rod is a lot better. The way that the main handle is sloped on most of them allows for a better grip/feel for me.
  12. More SFL people, welcome!
  13. Depends on what your flipping and pitching into. Down here in the Glades we need a 65# or better braided line to get the job done, so no it isnt. Now, if you are in more open, not so heavy of cover and using a sy 12# fluoro style, then yes. I use mine with 12# YoZuri, and mainly fish texas style rigged lizards/worms/frogs with a 1/32 oz bullet weight to a 3/0 widegap hook. If I wanted to start pitching a jig, I would just tie it on, but it wont be into extremely heavy cover. You would be surprised how much b@//$ this little bad boy has. And there is plenty of room for bearing and drag upgrade, just ask DVT!
  14. That 4 way amputee needs some legs to give it some action! haha
  15. Proven today, Im gonna have to go with my go to bait. 6" Zomm Lizard in Watermelonseed red
  16. I couldnt picture using anything but the Curado 50E. Check ebay, they are always for sale.
  17. If you had to give up all your reels but 1, which one would you keep, and why. I would keep my Curado 50E. Its soo smooth and versitile, and its just soo much fun to fish. Feels great in the hand, and never fails me.
  18. BassHunter and I went out on the C-14 today for some fishing. I guess with the Snakehead Roundup yesterday, they took care of those. As for the Bass fishing, that was pretty good. Caught plenty of fish, a few that were worthy of a photo. Blasted these fish with the Zoom Lizards. Dodged a few storms along the way, gave the 50E a good workout, it was a good day.
  19. Yeah, that pretty much says it all.
  20. My wife's grandfather always uses these things every time we go out. He does pretty good with them. He Riggs them Texas style with a 4/0 wide gap and a 1/32 oz bullet weight.
  21. When you go back to Bass Pro, get some of that 12# YoZuri line. Will make a huge difference.
