  1. Yeah, I love my E Curados too. Its gonna go downn in Shimano history just like the B's did.
  2. What kind of line are you using?
  3. Good job. See, it helps to always have a rig with you.
  4. No, not harmful at all. The fish dont swim much in the livewell, the balls just kind of float out of the way.
  5. I tied directly to the nose. I use a 17# mono for my spook. Just make sure there is a bit of slack to the line as you pop it to get the walk down.
  6. Lizards:Zoom in Watermelon variety colors. Worms:Culprit Red Shad. Frogs:BPS Horney Toad. Shad Like:Gambler EZ Swimmers Green Copperfield.
  7. I always report these kind of people to the authorities. Most of the time down here, these people dont have fishing licenses and dont care about the environment as a whole. Its fun to watch them get in trouble for trying to take fish with no license. Pay that fine sucker!
  8. Ive tried them all boys, with the exception of a Steez (would never pay that much for a reel). Shimano is proof that you dont need 20 bearings to outperform the competition. My first baitcaster was a Shimano CU200 when I was 11, and Im 30 now, and still the perfect balance of $ and quality.
  9. Well its official, all my reels have been traded in. As I had an assortment of Abu, BPS, Shimano, etc, I went back to my solid Shimano routes. Just got the Chronarch 200E7. Now its just Curado 200E7, 50E, Citica 200G6, Chronarch 200E7, and later will add the Chronarch 50 E to the list. Downsized to what always worked best for me. Simplified and functional.
  10. Im working on Gambler, I know Val.
  11. Sweet. I would take a nice H22 for my 94 Accord
  12. Yeah, dont use 10# braid. That stuff is made to be used on a very light spinning set up. The point of braid is to be super strong. With a baitcaster you want to stick to a similar diameter that you would use if it was mono or fluoro. So that being said you need to use a 50# or 65#. You wont have to worry about line snapping, or the line digging in on itself when setting the hook.
  13. True. Or you could just stick to eating RamenNoodles for a couple of weeks!
  14. I was just comparing their Jap cars vs our Jap cars. They get all the faster versions.
  15. I only need 4. 1) Shimano Curado 50E, 12# Yozuri for open area plastics. 2) Shimano Curado E7, 65# Spiderwire, heavy cover plastics. 3) Shimano Citica G6, 17# Mono, Spook. 4) Revo SX, 65# Spiderwire, jiggin.
  16. Forget the size and rating....the point is there is a Shimano reel on a Abu rod. I don't understand?
  17. They always have better stuff, look at their cars
  18. Well, they have weird sales throughout the year, but still its only $99.95. Its just a $20 difference, not like its 1/2 off.
  19. No part of the hook is left in the fish. I cut the hook, whether through the mouth, or access through the gills, and then I can slide the hook out without the barb being an issue.
  20. As far as jigs go, I use a Gambler 1/2 or 3/4 oz in blue/black, and an Gambler Ugly Otter trailer.
  21. No companies that are on this site would like to donate? Here is your chance to get your products advertised and name on our sponser board. Most local fisherman would be able to see your products and get a chance to use them when raffled off.
  22. I will be there hopefully in September for a wedding, er fishing!
  23. Next time I will give them the OL DDT!
  24. I carry a sharp pair of dykes with me at all times. If the hook is deep (gut) I just cut the hook where its easily reached and slide it out. Never had a problem doing this, and it save a lot of time. I would rather save the fish than my 20C hook.
