  1. I use 30# and a 12# YoZuri leader.
  2. Just received my SS Abec5s from BB. They are pretty much up the street from me. Only took 1 day to get to me. Might order another set for a CU100B I have coming.
  3. Are you loving the hate responses yet? Lol.
  4. $200 for a reel, $100 for a rod. That seems to be the magic numbers for me.
  5. The Chronarch E is the same as the Curado E with some upgraded parts. Different frame and design between the E and G.
  6. It does, but I am more for Function over Form, lol.
  7. I dont like the knobs soo close to the reel. Too tight for me.
  8. The problem with upgrading spool bearings on Lews/Abu products, and others that have a million bearings in them, is that they usually have 3 spool bearings. There is one that is on the spool shaft that is held on be a pin. So, to replace the two end ones with better bearings, and leave the one thats on the shaft stock, to me defeats the purpose. Now if you just buy yourself a Shimano and flush the stock bearings, you will be good to go for a LONG time.
  9. Bent handles dont serve any advantage. In my opinion, I dont like the feel of a bent handle. I think you have better control with a straight handle. Just put a Hawg Handle on the SL and call it a day.
  10. The best thing I can tell you to do is get the Ardent reel cleaning kit. Its got everything you will need for reel lubrication and cleaning. Oh, except for acetone to flush the bearings. That you can get at any hardware store.
  11. Get your first baitcaster. Its the best thing when you finally start tossing one. I remember my first baitcaster, I was 11.
  12. Good choice. Get a Shimano, lol.
  13. I cant speak for the other reels as have never upgraded bearings in them, but the Shimano bearings are good stock. They are an ABEC 3 rating. I have just ordered some ABEC 5s for my Curado50E because I have a bad one. The Bionic might not be listed as it is not a very popular reel to upgrade. You may have to just find out what the dimensions are using Google or if someone on here knows.
  14. Sellus is a great budget rod, have a few of those too. I have not had one complaint about the Sellus. I use them more for my reaction style baits due to the lack of sensitivity they have compared to the Compre rods I have.
  15. Google maps, random drives around town and noteing canals that I may pass by.
  16. Its like 70 degrees down here. Brrrrrrr.......lol.
  17. Yeah, my wife was the same way. Had over 15, and now down to 8 Shimanos only. I guess she is happier that the maint cost is down, but I still get the head shake.
