  1. Deak is a good guy. I have done business with him.
  2. Afternoon to nights are key times. Shallow water bites down here are killer with the spawning.
  3. Fish the cuts. I went up there and fished with Ninja, we caught them in the dirty water areas and cuts where the small creeks and rivers fed.
  4. You better grab that 50E and run like hell. You are never gonna get a better deal than that.
  5. Wait, wait, wait!....... still has a Curado50E? I wouldnt rule out that reel at all. I crank with a 50E, whats the problem? It holds plenty of line. I spool mine with 12# YoZuri. What do they want for it?
  6. Cover, cover, cover.
  7. I appreciate the offer RW. Might take you up on that down the line. Got. CU100B coming from Bosn, so im broke.
  8. Lets see....what I would want Shimano to improve.......hard question. I would like to see the colors that they have for the JDM reels or maybe some of them come to the US. Love theblack and red on the Scorpions. Im not too crazy about the big knobs on the reels. I like the ones that were on the Curado50Ebetter. Other than that, I dont have any complaints, thats why I fish them only.
  9. You can lose brain cells watching those videos.
  10. Take reel apart. Soak bearings in acetone. Clean internals with simple green. Lube spool bearings with oil. Pack other bearings with grease. Grease on the gears. Light grease on moving parts areas. Drag grease on drag. Reassemble. Oil on worm gear. Swipe brake drum with light oil. Lube brake pins. I use Ardents reel kit, Shimano drag grease. All Shimano reels.
  11. LATE? Some of us cant stay awake that late, lol. Um....I have not really tried this to know the answer to this question. I dont back off my drags that far, only just enough to where its just loose. Well, looks like Im out for the offers, Im awaiting my CU-100B from Bosin. Im broke, lol.
  12. Rock ledge. Most of the canals down here are man made, and we have alot of coral rock under the ground. Almost every canal has coral rock edging, and somewhat makes an overhang. All you have to do is fish along the edge about 3 feet off and 2-3 feet below the surface. Killer strike zones.
  13. Texas rigged, and depending on rate off fall, would depend on the size of the bullet weight I would use with it.
  14. Havent used, but looks soo cool!
  15. Get yourself a 6" watermelon seed Zoom lizard and T Rig it with a 1/8oz weight. Just work it around the canal. Swim it, jig it, etc. Somethings bound to hit it. When the waters low like that, they will be in there, but they will be hanging out more than likely. When the water comes up after a good rain, look out. What I have noticed is these canals wake up after a good rain to bring the water up. The fish will then be patrolling the area in search of food. I was fishing in my canal today, with the wing making a good current, I had 4 3#ers in a matter of 30 minutes.
  16. Its over. You either keep going, or get some more cow bell.
  17. Power Pro 50# for frogs and jigs/pitch. Yozuri 15# for Texas rigged soft plastics/swim plastics. Yozuri 12# for cranking.
  18. The moon was surely big this morning.
  19. Wow, pretty well said. Hes right. At this time in fishing, we have some of the finest and advanced technology in fishing equipment. Whats next? Who knows? The sport has come a long way since I started in '92 thats for sure. I applaud Hootie for one heck of a post.
  20. Youll get there in due time, lol.
  21. Call it what they will. Ive tried others, but nothing came close to my Shimanos, so there is where I lay. Lol. Its not that it just has the name, its that it has the form and function that works for me.
  22. A little trick I use on long casts and using coply, is to thumb the spool so no line comes off with the drag when I wail the hookset.
  23. Only my Chronarch50E has straight 50# Power Pro on it due to having a smaller capacity. Yes the braid is tied to the spool using the holes in it.
