  1. If worse comes to worse, use some "thumb drag".
  2. Its that new InstaVis line! Just like the toys that used to change color when you got them wet, lol. Take the line back, get a new spool. You work at Bass Pro.
  3. I keep my stuff organized all year long, since we fish all year on down here. I have a app on my phone called AK Notepad. I made a list of every bait brand/color/style that I have. As I use a bag, or lose a bait, or need to replace a broken bait, I just put a * next to it, and how many to get. Next trip to BPS or anywhere that has bait, I can check to see what I need, and then knock it off the list. You could say I'm OCD, most just call me nucking futs.
  4. I still use PopRs, ChugBugs, Rattletraps, etc. that I've had since the early 90`s. As long as they don't get lost, I just put new hooks on them and keep slinging them.
  5. Get a spook Jr in white for topwater. A Booyah pad crusher hollow frog. BPS Humping toad Kit. Zoom 6" Lizards in Watermelon Red Chart. Culprit Worms red shad. Bomber square As. Black buzzbait. Chart spinner bait with gold leaves. Should cover you for most LM Bass fishing and others.
  6. I use a modified al right knot. Loop the leader, wrap the braid.
  7. I use a 7' MH Mod Shimano Compre.
  8. I wish I had a monkey. Anybody want to trade for my Silverback Gorilla?
  9. These forums are what my wife likes to call "Fishbooking", lol. And yes, they get addictive.
  10. I will teach you grasshopper, lol
  11. You have seen me prove my Shimanos, lol
  12. Your welcome! Sorry, somebody had to do it, lol
  13. I don't think it has much to do with location as it does personal preference. I understand using these boards and forums to find experiences that other people have LgMouthGambler, if it's not a Shimano, you're throwing your money away. Hey, I resemble that remark, lol
  14. Yeah. Some pros were following us around trying to see where we were going. One followed us in one area, then like a !#!%$^ went up and on plane through this tight area, causing all the mud and muck to dirty the water. Then they got stuck where I knew they would where it got real shallow. My buddy asked if we should help them. I told him for what they just did, they can call someone to help them for all I care. They eventaully got free after about 30 minutes of gunning the engine. I just laughed at them when they came by real slow past us on the way out.
  15. Its cool, I get that alot here, lol
  16. Just remeber that not every BPS carries the same stuff. Mine has things you dont see online, and vise versa. Shimano usually does a mail in rebate. I think last year it was $30.
  17. I use 12# as a leader with 30# braid for my spinning rig. Sometimes 20# depending on how heavy of cover Im going to be fishing.
  18. I would be worried about the reel being able to handle the stress before that rod. Either way I think you should be OK with it.
  19. My 6'8 MH F Shimano Compre. It had a Curado50E on it, but now it has the Curado100B for my daily user.
  20. I don't care what they say, I decide for myself. Heck, how many pros you see sporting Shimano? Anyway, I have come to not like many of the pros as to seeing them all over yesterday on Lake O. Following me to some hiiden spots I have, then getting up on plane and spooling up all the mud in the tight little areas and ruining the fishing. One guy in a Falcon boat got up on plane in an area that gets real shallow real quick. Well, he got stuck up the way. We heard him throttling an stuff trying to get free. My buddy asked if we should go help him. I said after what he did, he can figure it out himself. Lol
  21. Never paid attention to the Powell, but it looks promising for the price. The only thing I dont like is the reel seat, not enough blank exposure for me.
  22. I would go for the Lightning Shock over the Bionic Blade. For the kind of fishing, you might be better off with a MH F rod.
  23. Vertical, wow, that would be interesting. Would take some getting used. Do you have a model for that Daiwa, now I'm interested to see that design.
  24. Ok. You have the Vendetta around $80, Vertas and Compare both $100. If you want to be lower, the best rod to get would be a Lightning Shock rod for $50.
