  1. Best bait I have ever used for trout is Joe's Flies. They make several different styles, sizes, and colors and none of them has ever let me down. The trout go nuts over these things for some reason. Here is a link to their site: http://www.joesflies.com/
  2. Looks similar to the X-Raps and I did REALLY well on X-Raps this year. I'll pick up a few if Cabela's has any the next time I am in the store. The glass ghost will be my first pick. The smallies love that color around here.
  3. Best lure cleaner on the planet is the Miracle Cloth. They are amazing on plastic and wood lures and take that white scum right off. The lures look like new after using the cloth. Here is a link to a bunch of them on eBay. Not me selling them, its just where I get mine. http://sporting-goods.shop.ebay.com/Outdoor-Sports-/159043/i.html?_nkw=miracle+cloth&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282
  4. Me too! About 5 bucks for a pack three of them and I do quite well in the strip pits with them. I seem to do best on the Sunfish.
  5. Sorry about the size of the pic. I didnt realize it was that big. Taken with my cell phone. Just a little buddy that hangs around the neighbors place He is a buck and as seen in the pic, he can drive a man nuts! Can't even work on the truck without getting your belt loops chewed off ;D
  6. Banjo Minnows and Ivory Soap. ;D Just kiddin, X-Raps in every size and color have been doing well for me.
  7. NICE A-J, Get a replica made and make a nice keychain ;D
  8. The old jitterbugs have much better action and noise than the new ones, so I still use old jitterbugs quite a bit. I also throw a few old creek chubs (pikies, injured minnows), heddon river runts, and south bend bass o renos every now and then. I don't use any nice ones as that can be kinda pricey. I used to collect Punkinseeds, but never have fished with one. I may have to give that a shot. I love those old lures
  9. I probably have a few whopper stoppers and hellbenders, so ill dig them out and do a little comparison.
  10. Yea, It does kinda look like a hellbender. Pretty sure its factory made though. Its got me stumped :-/
  11. Picked this up yesterday and its not marked. It sort of looks like a bomber type bill. Its made to look like its running on its side. The body is 4 inches long. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  12. I have been doing pretty good in the creeks using 3 inch senko's, rebel crawdads, yo-zuri pins minnows, x-raps, chrome roostertails, and the good ole original floating rapala. Wading the creeks is one of my favorite ways to fish. I may just have to hit a creek this evening. ;D
  13. Black jitterbug one more time ;D I buy the older ones from auction sites. In my opinion, the new ones do not have the action or sound as the ones made back in the day (1970's or so). The quality of Arbogast was MUCH better back then. I have had good luck on other colors as well, but black seems to be the best.
  14. I agree with RW on the equipment. If you hook into a 3, 4, or 5 pound smallie on Micro stuff, she may just snap it in half real quick. ;D They have a REAL attitude problem, and are one of the best fighting fish out there IMO. STRONG STRONG STRONG fish!! Great fun. 8-)
  15. ;D ;D ;D Good stuff!! Those things are MEAN!! They will try to eat anything, and yes, he still jumped! 8-) Mine looks bigger in the pic than he really is. I thought I snagged another lure ;D I did get a couple 13-15 inchers and the 3 incher was just as fun (or maybe it was just funny). First time using the Pin's Minnow. Caught a few white bass on it too. That lure worked pretty well today.
