  1. I don't think the level will stay up. TVA.gov is your friend. Start tracking the water level, if it is stable the fish will be somewhat stable. They have dropped the level a foot in the last 48 hours. I haven't been on the water in a while, so I can't help much more than that, right now.
  2. Water levels are up and down with the rains. Stay between the channel markers when on plane. The lake is already crowded and everyone will be stacked in the mouths of creeks. But two weeks is a long time to speculate on patterns, this time of year. You will read about 25 to 40 pound bags, but you don't see that 90% caught zero that day. Now for an answer....lol. Traps, swimbaits, cranks, and A-rigs should lead the way. Watch the TVA site for water level. It's up 2' with this rain, and if you were here this weekend I would say hit the banks. If you have Humminbird electronics and a lakemaster card, you'll be fine.
  3. Trout fishing on the Hiwassee. B&B marina crappie. Any of the overpasses on river road, from Olin to the Tennessee river. Below the dams. The Chic is one of the best bass lakes in the country. I don't know many bank fishing spots, but you live close to some great bass fishing. And Parksville lake has some monster spotted bass. PM me when you can and I'll help some more.
  4. Thanks.
  5. Lurking: I'll be down next Wed. Gonna fish Rodman and George for the first time.
  6. Alcoa makes rolls of sheet aluminum for cans (beer, coke cans). They also pour small pigs to sell. They use to make raw aluminum from boxite ore, but they closed that part of the south plant in 2009. There is some decent fishing in that area, but I would highly recommend looking at the Chattanooga, Cleveland, Dayton triangle area. The fishing is 10x better.
  7. Lake Pan has some big fish. A tagged 15 and 18 are swimming around in there somewhere. I hope to have pics of them in February.
  8. +1 for the Chattanooga, Tn area. Chic, Guntersville, and Pickwick are all close.
  9. I have to disagree that all the mods are ok. One mod thinks that you should spend six months reading posts so that you don't post in the wrong place in your first 50 posts. And one should have an internet degree before asking a question before you get 50 posts. And if a new member dares to make one of these mistakes then you will get a big ole " Come on man" so you won't post ever again. Just my two cents.
  10. You could have answered the question in as many words as it took you to be a jerk about it.
  11. 6" lizard and Eels and sometimes a SK goby or senko.
  12. Of the seven people that have responded to the topic of if you could only fish one lure for the rest of your life topic. What is your average finishing place in tournement? Just curious and thought it would be interesting to see if a certain mind set placed higher in TX's.
  13. Around here, I would say golf and I know some that quit because their style of fishing had a tough year.
