  1. Catching nice fish on sick gear is so satisfying ☺ what did you do with the MSX Limited rod?
  2. i use a snap for easy changes, doesnt seem to affect the action on my jerkbaits(mostly LC Pointers), but my wrist snaps seem to change the action more than anything.
  3. I got my citica for $117. The only differences are the bearings and the handle and dragster are not machined.
  4. If you ever want to try any of their new Gen reels or DC let me know. They are very impressive.
  5. TT just posted a review on it last week.
  6. Lots of reports and evidence on fishing forums in asia but the denial of it over here in the US was ridiculous. People were claiming photoshop hoaxes, or people taking a file to the TWS to create the grooves by hand.
  7. You aren't alone dude.. request that they give you the newer Zillion tws guide.
  8. Have you even spent any time on the site? If you have you would know they review all sorts of fishing tackle. They never claimed to be a bass fishing site because they do target other species on occasion.
  9. Its because that site is focused on tackle, hence the name TACKLE tour
  10. No offense to anyone here, but I consider this forum a budget fisherman's forum already vs the TackleTour forums where Im a little more active. Of course it's all relative to what you can or are willing to spend.
  11. Yeah I read the TT review on it.. I was going to get a jackall nero rod for it but it's not comfortable on an ACS reel seat. I will get some time on it this weekend though
  12. Super sick dude! I just got a 50DC last week and I'm trying to figure out a rod for it.
  13. Wipe down the brake pipe and re oil it by using one drop and spreading it around with a q tip
  14. Save some money and get the Team Lite if you go Lews. This reel bombs lures a long way and 5.7 oz. Tiny like a Shimano 50 to boot.
  15. The Premier uses the IVCB centrifugal brakes while the STX uses the dual magnetic/centrifugal brakes
  16. This is true, most Japanese anglers fish from the bank.
  17. I think the only advantages the Revo would have is the drag and the aluminum frame.
  18. Is it the xg or xg limited? And what are you trying to use it for?
  19. The best thing to do is get on the mailing list for as many online shops as you can. They will bombard you with sales on a daily basis. I recently took advantage of a 50% off all lucky craft hardbaits sale that I wouldn't have known about but I got the email.
  20. I taught a kid to cast a baitcaster in about 30 minutes, he was about 10. Started him off with the magnetic brakes on his baitcaster turned all the way up. Side arm cast and made sure the lure was heavy enough, side arm cast. Overheard is a different story. If she wants to learn a baitcaster for the experience start on centrifugal brakes, if she just wants to use a baitcaster because she thinks it will help her fishing get a Scorpion DC. That reel is impossible to backlash.
  21. It's because those higher end reels are made in Japan.
  22. That's the thing about buying JDM from Japan... once you buy one.. you have to buy more..
  23. I'll post pics when I get it lol.. Its going to be a couple of weeks.
  24. Yep, looking for JDM from US only retailers will severely limit your choices. I just ordered a rod from Japan and the shipping was only 65$ compared to almost $100 a few years ago.
