  1. My curado 50 smokes my Tatula r with 3/8ths and under and they are neck and neck with weights above that. But the ergonomics of the 50 are a lot better in my hands.
  2. Get the scorpion, if you don't like it you will have no problem selling it. But you will love it. The bearings are better on the scorpion vs its USDM counterpart chronarch 50. Plus you have finesse spool options that Lews doesn't.

  4. I've never had to have any of my JDM reels worked on but the scorpion 1000xt is the JDM equivalent to the chronarch 50e. So any parts are interchangeable. Just watch out though, once you go Shimano 50 its hard to go back lol.
  5. Scorpion 1000xt. They can be found for about $180 new.
  6. I thought he was referring to the 200E
  7. If I were you, I would get an Avail dragstar, its aluminum and it comes with everything you need and is a perfect fit, no modifications or extra parts needed. Also, its tapered so you can fit a swept handle in the future if you want. You have color options too.
  8. This is incorrect, the Curado E had a forged aluminum drag star.
  9. Its worth the money. Great caster, solid feeling for being a carbon composite. Casts farther than the Tatula and has lots of spool options. The minus for me is that the spool tension sucks, I have to tighten it all the way down to get it to start working, and the hump on the bottom of the reel on the handle side is uncomfortable for me for the way I palm.
  10. Just curious.. Why are you limiting yourself to only those 2 brands?
  11. TT did a review on the BB1 and commented on its great distance capabilities. The stated the non anti reverse models gave about an extra 5 yards vs the anti reverse models.
  12. You guys should check out the Roman Made swimbaits, Makes the jointed claw seem affordable lol
  13. Curado I casts farther for me, palms a lot better for me too. I have a Tat R and its a good reel but if given the choice of the two its curado all day.
  14. The blank is good, but the super short, sharply tapered handle causes my hand to cramp and a couple of my shimano reels move around under load because the rear part of the reel foot moves around. If they would fix that issue I would get another, but now it sits in the corner of my room.
  15. You can get the metaniums for $300 on rakuten.
  16. You proved my point. You can only speak of people in your area, its a big world out there and not everyone has the same view on how much they are willing to spend on tackle. And shimano guys aren't the only ones talking trash about other brands on this forum. Back on topic.. Got the T3B today, feels very nice so far. Definitely a steal at 110$. I'll find out this weekend if I think its $250 nice.
  17. The curado 50 was at the end of its cycle making way for the chronarch 50. The T3 isn't at the end of its life cycle, that's the difference. And you shouldn't assume that just because you have a certain price point you won't go over that everybody thinks the same way. Back on topic my T3 ballistic should be here tomorrow and I look forward to seeing what it can do:-)
  18. No that would be the majority of US anglers. The Z200 was available at TW for over a year and it sold so poorly at the price they were asking that it got discontinued. They had to sell them at half price with an additional 25% off to finally get rid of the remaining stock. Looks like the T3s are viewed the same way, they've been on sale since Xmas and vendors still haven't sold out.
  19. Because they said that they just came out with this process?
  20. Its the 90mm hedgehog carbon handle. Fits over the stock dragstar perfectly and the angled bends in the handle fit the Curado really well. I have the finishing touches coming in from hedgehog studios as we speak.
  21. Swapped the handle on the Curado I again, and used Core50 knobs. Shaved the weight down to 7.2 oz.
  22. Bantam1 confirmed that the spare red brake blocks that comes with the Curado I are just spares, and not any different from the ones already on the spool
