  1. Clean the brake race, and see if your magnets still move in and out.
  2. What other monos have you used to come to this conclusion?
  3. I'm gonna guess no since the braking system is going to be different. There might be a shallower spool option seeing as the released the Metanium with a shallow spool option immediately
  4. They might shock us and release the BFS version alongside the regular version.
  5. That spool does look a lot shallower than the current Aldebaran
  6. Looks like its going to be a revo elite with the titanium nitride coating and maybe a lighter spool. Might be a limited edition like the last one.
  7. New Metanium DC is supposed to have a new IDC5. Excited to see what that is all about. May have knobs like the new Conquests.
  8. New Aldebaran weight at 4.7 oz You can see the svs adjustment dial and shallower spool. Frame might be made of CI4+, but the price suggests it may stay Magnesium.
  9. I read the Chronarch Es are being discontinued, so you better get it while you can
  10. New Aldebaran New Metanium DC New Revo Elite Aurora Conquest 50DC
  11. I would have bought them too! G series curado/citica is so comfortable to palm.
  12. Duckett and Lews are manufactured by Doyo, and Quantum and *** reels are manufactured by Banax.
  13. Very interested in seeing what they have planned for the new citica. It may be an all new design, maybe different than the curado I since the previous citicas were released at the same time with the curado. Don't see the svs infinity brakes on a 130$ reel though.
  14. Specs say 190 grams or 6.7 oz
  15. Probably the best all around performer out there today. Its does everything very well.
  16. What reels were you comparing it against and what were the brakes set on?
  17. This doesn't surprise me considering they are a Doyo manufactured reel, they should fish very similar to other Doyo reels like Abu, Lews, Pflueger, BPS brands which all share a lot of common components. Not saying its a bad thing, I personally love the looks of these reels, may pick one up based on that alone if I can find one at a discount somewhere. The pricing strategy was weird as the 320 is $10 higher than the Curado and the 360 is very close to Chronarch CI4 territory.
  18. Actually the MGX was the first Gen 3, then all the rest came out, S, SX, STX, Premier, etc.. the LTX came out in Japan around the same time as the MGX. They all use the same frame and side plates. Apparently some of the gen 3s like the S and Winch use a long spool shaft while others like the STX, Rocket, SX, Premier etc. use the short spool shaft.
  19. LT, LTX, and LTZ are Revo Gen 3s, and they all use short spool shafts. ZPI and Avail makes shallow spools for the certain Gen 3s, not sure if they would fit the Rocket.
  20. Avail or ZPI have revo shallow spools, not sure about 3rd gen revos though.
  21. Its got dual brakes right? What are your settings? I have an Elite IB with the dual brakes(1st gen) and its casts very well. I use 1-2 centrifugal brakes and use the mag dial as needed.
  22. Why don't you start with one and if you like it order more? Lol
  23. The spool weight is going to be the determining factor on which one casts lighter lures better. If I recall the STX has a 16 gram spool, not sure what the Premier has.
  24. Ive got mag, centrifugal, and DC brakes. To me the centrifugal brakes are much more consistent cast to cast meaning that I can hit the same spot pretty much over and over and don't really require much fiddling even when I swap out lures. The Mag brakes don't seem to cast as far and are more touchy and sometimes will backlash out of the blue and more sensitive to the wind. And I definitely have to fool with the mag dial when changing lures.
  25. What are you talking about? It would take years of frequent use to wear down brake shoes even if they weren't properly maintained. Shimano brake blocks are different colors to signify different weights.
