  1. For the past few years, I have found white/silver swim Jig works the best for me. Then, I will usually throw LC pointers and flukes.
  2. I caught a few during spawn near the spillway, but rather fish Potomac or Rocky Gorge. Where do you fish at Centennial Lake during spawn? Rock side?
  3. That lake is really over fished, I would consider Lake Elkhorn or Jackson Pond if you are fishing from shore.
  4. Hey bud, I have actually watched Pros fish on the Potomac. I kept at least 10 boat lengths away from there, and didn't take any pics or video(not sure if that's allowed or not). Expo is really kool, my daughter enjoyed it and got some free stuff. Probably you do not want to spend your whole day at the Expo, because there isn't too much to do there. Have fun.
  5. You lose sensitivity regardless of what line you use, I am using both Flouro and braided line with my spinning gears. My sensitivity increased using braided lines, but I will use Flouro lines if I am fishing soft plastic jerkbaits in the open water. It is personal preference, and I happen to agree with many Pros on the tour that Braided line + leader works pretty well.
  6. You get the benefit of both if you tie a leader to the main line, most of the time I don't even need to set the hook but hey it is personal preference.
  7. Try 6lb P-line or Seaguar, but I braided line w/ leader works much better for spinning gear.
  8. Zoom Fat Albert, Rage craw, Paca chuck.
  9. I see you are in my neighborhood, but you can use more than soft plastics fishing from the bank. I am assuming you are fishing Centennial Park? The most effective lure for me was square bill cranks, and finesse jigs. But most of the times I am fishing Rocky Gorge or Potomac, and able to pull some decent size bass there.
  10. Gloom or Doybn if you want a good rod, and wait until shimano release its new Curado then older model should be on sale.
  11. Second that, my daughter loves catching them.
  12. I go to local BPS, and they have tons of apparels related to fishing.
  13. I guess there are some new products coming out, and they are cleaning out inventories.
  14. d**n. I dont need anyone reel, but at this price....haha!
  15. I must be blind or something, I don't see it on sale for $202.
  16. 14-20 lb Fluoro depends on the cover, but 14lb should work in most situations.
  17. Usually TW and BTD have a sale during the spring as well, 20% off everything.
  18. d**n, I might have to pull the trigger on this and I already have two cores. I was going to get the new Chronarch, but this is a good deal.
  19. Do share? How to get them for that cheap?
  20. Anyone own both CI4 vs 200E, and done some comparison? 200E got a Aluminun Frame, so I am assuming it is better built?
  21. I went fishing last Saturday for some trout, and caught two 1/2 lbers. Probably wont go out again until late March, it is tooooo cold...
  22. cool, let me know after your fishing trip.
  23. Did you get the 12lb or 16lb? what is that in diameter compare to mono? It doesn't say on their website, hopefully it is close to 4-5lb compare to mono.
  24. wait until Spring sale, and that's when I usually stock up for the year.
  25. I got a spool from ***.com, Sufix call it Ghost color but it is actually white. You can easily see it above the water, and I have 10lb on a spinning reel.
