  1. I am on 4th year without switching out my old braided line, but I think I am going to switch from powerpro to high vis 832 after this season.
  2. Spoon, inline spinners, worms, powerbait...all works...
  3. The general area is little patuxent river, you can wader upstream. The entire river is stocked, and I don't have a particular spot.
  4. Yeah, I went out for trout fishing and caught 20 plus. My local stream was recently stocked, and it was tons of fun.
  5. Jackson is a good Bass pond, and no one really take anything home so there are always fish in there. I got a buddy live right next to the Pond, and he was pulling out 3-4lbers last year.
  6. I saw them at the super center in cockeysville, but I didn't buy them.
  7. There are many good articles on this site on pre-spawn Bass, I suggest you start reading them to get started. But you can always fish lipless cranks, flukes, or any moving bait during spring.
  8. I have switch most of my rods from Shimano to Gloomis and Dobyns, but if I am staying around 100 bucks for a rod then I prefer BPS.
  9. Forget smart phones, just get a 1990 flipper and save yourself $1k a year for more fishing tackles.
  10. Unless you are fishing a river or steam, no point going out to a lake until late March and early April.
  11. Spring and Late fall, you can catch them from shore. During the heat of the summer, you can find them in deeper water around structures.
  12. Aaron Martens.
  13. Local BPS carried *** for less than 3 months last year, and never saw it back on the shelf again.
  14. I beg the differ, you are not going to find a more sensitive rod than GL2 at $150 range. I have fished many different rods which included ***, there is no way *** is better. I purchased *** from BPS last year, and used it for like than 2 weeks. 5th guide completely came off during a hook set, and tip of the is very thin and probably will break off if you set the hook hard. If you are spending 250+, then there are other choices that's better than GL2.
  15. Gonna wait until End of March before trying to Bass fish, but trout fishing always fun at a stream.
  16. TW has Rep example GL2 for 25% off, you can get a Jig/Worm rod 6'8 M for $150. you can't beat that.
  17. I picked some rage craw for 2.50 a pack, and zoom flukes for 2.00. Powerpro was on sale for 9.99, and I don't even need it.
  18. a'ight, Looks like I am getting a NRX for this year...haha!
  19. Sup Goose. It is good to hear from you again. From the other topic, what is a wild card replacement?
  20. TW is running its bass master classic sale, and it has some rep example rods for 25% off. Anyone ever purchased them before, are you like new or it shows good use on the rod?
  21. Have you used BPS braid before? If you have, how is it compare to 832?
  22. Never used BPS brand, I might have to try it this year for this price...LOL.
  23. When is BPS releasing this flyer to the public?
  24. If you are picking out one rod, then I am assuming you are fishing from shore. I would suggest a shorter rod, because it would be easier for fish in certain areas. I would go with GL2 Worm/Jig 803SJWR, and Shimano Stradic 2500 size reel spool with 20 lb 832 in high vis along with a leader of your choice.
  25. You can always fish Loch Raven reservoir, you can even rent a boat there and should be able to land some bass in 5-6lb range. Or walk the shore line from the bridge on Dulaney valley road, but not sure about Hardford.
