  1. For the past few weeks: 1. 1/2 Jig black&blue w/ zoom super chuck 2. Sammy 3. Gunfish 4. Baby brushhog
  2. I will transfer a portion of my income into my "fun" checking account for fishing and last year I spent a little under $1k.
  3. I got all braided line plus leader and change leader after 2-3 outings, this set up lasted me few years now without putting on new lines.
  4. I like to use swim jig before sunset, it works very well here. But topwater is money right after run rise, and pitch a beaver works very well.
  5. Most of my summer bass strike comes from early morning 6-7am using bronze eye frog, after sun comes out then I will switch to a swim/flipping Jig with Rage Craw trailer. If I am pitching heavy cover, then I will stay with T-rig sweet beaver or worm. At my home lake, there are lots of lilly pads and drop a senko on the edge usually get a strike.
  6. The biggest I have caught is closer to 4.5lb, and I pulled it out near the floating dock at north of the lake. Do you fish north side or south side during your lunch? Sometimes I found rock side can be productive as well, and nothing really big there but I can always catch a few there.
  7. I mostly fish Rocky Gorge and liberty those days, but lake elkhorn was my home lake so I fish there quiet frequently when I lived there.
  8. Nice Fish. Fishing near the boat ramp?
  9. Looks like an awesome bait for flipping, I will definitely try it out.
  10. Not too good, I went out 4 times so far. Picked up 5 bass in total, and ALL of them are under 2lb. Last weekend I got skunked after 5 hours of fishing, but will try again this Saturday since the weather seems nice.
  11. Anyone caught anything today? Went out from 9am-2pm, but got nothing. Might try to go out again tomorrow but the air temperature in the morning is close to 50 degrees, and local lake's water temperature today was close to 45 probably is even lower tomorrow. Should I even try to go out tomorrow, or stay home and watch MBA. LOL.
  12. I have one set up on 10lb, and another set up on 20lb 832 braided line. I fish both setup, but 80% of the time I am using the 20lb braided line because I am fishing structures and covers that might break my 10lb braid so don't want to take any chances.
  13. Weekend should be nice, it is in the upper 60's and plan to go out to do some damage.
  14. Do you guys use KVD line conditioner on braided line, or it is a waste?
  15. Additionally, I would fish wilde lake or lake K before Centennial. If you know what you are doing, it is A LOT less people fishing those two lakes. Centennial got some decent size bass in there, but you have to compete with 20-30 weekend warriors and your adds are much higher going somewhere else.
  16. I don't fish Centennial that often, but always had luck with swim jig in blue gill w/ zoom grub or SK craw. I will just drag a finesse Jig with a SK baby rage craw, and SK 1.5 square bill around rocks. They should be schooling right now, so if you can find one then most likely there are more near by. Then slow down and fish the whole area with a senko, or w/e soft plastic baits you prefer.
  17. Lake Elkhorn is stocked each year with few hundred small Bass, and you can find some 2-3 lbers in there. The biggest I caught in there was 4.2lb, but mostly you are pulling 1-2lbers. Rocky Gorge is managed by WSSC, and I have added a link to their website. You need to buy another permit to fish there, and a single day permit will cost $6.00. There is very limited shore fishing available, so I suggest get a kayak or a small row boat. I fished Rocky Gorge today, and got a 14lb bag. http://www.wsscwater.com/home/jsp/content/watershed.faces#wheretopurchase
  18. Bud, you are fishing the wrong side of lake Elkhorn from the pic you have posted. Centennial is always crowded, try rocky gorge next time.
  19. This is a good area for Pikes, I have pulled a large 10-12 lber on the right side of bridge.
  20. zoom fat albert and rage craw, I will try to match the color but sometimes I mixed it a bit.
  21. Fishing from the boat 10-12 rods, and 1 rod if I am fishing from shore or local pond.
  22. That's a ka-bar, what do you use that for?
  23. wow. I am on a business trip this weekend, but I can show you around next weekend if you like. Trout is so easy to catch, so sorry that you are having problems. haha.
  24. Get a water temperature gauge, and they are active if water temperature is above 40. You should probably wait until this Thursday or Friday before going out again, and try different lures such as spoon, rooster, powerbait, salmon eggs. If you are not getting any bite in inline spinner, then change it up and try something else.
