  1. There is a pond in UMBC, cant fish there?
  2. I went out last Sunday to Centennial lake, Howard county; it was sunny but I didn't get one bite. But bites should be picking up soon I hope...
  3. a'ight. time to get some off color trailers...haha
  4. The premier Jigs look very good, but how do you guys match trailer color on them. They looks good, but I think might be a bit hard to match it up with the same color trailer? I am wondering what do you guys use?
  5. Nice, an order is on the way...
  6. Nice looking Jigs...any discount to the bassresource member? hehe, I might place an order today.
  7. dont be afraid to drop some 1/4 Jigs, I have caught some nice bass with it in shallow water when water is cold.
  8. nice looking pups.
  9. I will cast to the exact same spot 8-10 times with one lure, then switch to something else and cast to that spot for 8-10 times. Usually I will try 4-5 different lures before I move on, or target something else close by.
  10. I would visit your local tackle shop, and I am sure there are many rods in your price range. Focus on the action/length of the rod, than the brand of the rod. My first setup cost me 39.99 from walmart, and it works fine until the bait monkey caught up with me. Any rod at 80 bucks range should be fine, go with what you like.
  11. I cast with two hand while on casting gears, and retrive with my right hand. If I pitch, then I will cast use my right hand then switch hand. Never had any problems, YET.
  12. Jig man, care to explain why you are using so many different types of trailer? Is there an advantage of one over the other during certain time of the year? or? I would like to hear your response on this. ;D
  13. I have been using Arkie(walmart brand) trailer for 1/4oz, and 3/8oz jigs. Jigs > 1/2 oz, then I use Rage craw. On the side note, somehow I can can more bass on Arki Jigs than some of my more expensive Jigs. Arkie goes for $1.29 here. If I can get them on sale, its 50 cents a pop. Trailer is $1.99 per bag of 10 craws, really can't beat that. ;D
  14. Great catch, but leave some in the water for other folks, will ya?
  15. If I have 100 dollars now, then I'll buy different type Jigs and trailers.
  16. I picked up a new setup this year for my pitching/flipping; Abu Garcia Verdict 7'6" Heavy XF with Abu Garcia STX 7:1 ratio. I like a longer rod for casting distance, and you can retrive your Jig back faster with a high speed reel so you can pitch it out quicker.
  17. lol, I am going to tell my wife this joke and might get slapped for it...haha
  18. A'ight, let me go get a tatoo and how many buzz bait do I get? LOL
  19. Well not really, just run to the front of the line infront of all the people that paid and tell them your VIP... you'll get your free room and board before everybody else ;D You dont need a ticket, just act crazy in front of the security. You will get more than just a "free medical exam", probably got your meal covered for a while as well. LOL, not recommend doing it...
  20. can't wait to found out what lures KVD is using this classic.
  21. winter is the prefect time for me to sit around my fire place, and read a book while drinking my blue label. I have done ice fishing 2-3 time, but didn't like it.
  22. Probably. There was ice near the dam, and at the river-mouth (where the lake starts). But then, I read of people catching bass on MS Slammers in the middle of winter. EDIT: A funny note: Either the wind or the UVA-VT basketball game (we won.. woo hoo) kept all but one trout angler away from the lake. I struck up a conversation before I was leaving, and the guy asked me what I "hoped" to catch with that "huge" lunker punker. He got a nice limit of six 10" rainbows though. Actually, I went trout fishing yesterday after work. My local lake was stocked with trout already, and I got my 2 fish limit under an hour.
  23. still a bit cold bro.
  24. anyone going out this weekend? the weather is pretty good, hehe.
  25. TW ship with UPS, and they offer volume discount. Many companies pays 5-6 bucks per package, where you would pay upto 15-17 dollars at an UPS store.
