  1. My local BPS store had a good sale last year, and picked up many soft plastics for 50% off.
  2. Went to Loch Raven res. yesterday, and they are spawning for sure. I couldn't get anything to bite, but they are definitely on bed. Going to try again this weekend, and hopefully I can get a few. Well, fishing might be close for 2-3 weeks until they finish spawning.
  3. If you have done EVERYTHING you can on a worm, then I will go to a finesse Jig or inline spinner. But there are many ways to fish plastics, and location is the key. Study the map and Locate the fish first, if you cant find the bass then you can't catch them regardless of what lure to use.
  4. I fish a small pond in my community once a while, and the most productive bait is finesse Jig. Pitch it out, and jerk it twice then wait few seconds.
  5. Agreed! My wife knows nothing about fishing, but 7 out of 10 times she will out fish me.
  6. Anyone catching anything around Baltimore, and Howard county?
  7. Coming from using fluorocarbon line for Jigs to PowerPro Braid, and I have found that hook up ratio went up. I don’t need to set the hook hard, and I felt Braid is more sensitive which allows me to detect bites better than fluor.
  8. LMAO...if he really does that, it would be so hilarious
  9. You are an adult right? If you want to keep few fish for dinner, then just freaking keep the d**n fish. I am curious, who is making you buy stuff here? The sponsors here offer some great deal on their product, for example, NorthStar and Rage Craw. I have caught many decent bass on Northstar finesse jig, and the price is very competitive. you can't find deal such as 10% off for BR members anywhere else, you need to get your head checked out.
  10. WOW
  11. Great idea. haha!
  12. What a day Fat boy, and I am struck in the freaking office doing presenetations. you guys are making me so jealous!
  13. Trustfully, Jig (northstar) and senko is all you need. Get some swim Jigs, football Jigs, and finesse Jigs. Then buy some Trailers, and you are set. I have tons of other lure in my Plano box, and most productivity lures are Jig and Senko. Keep it simple.
  14. you are that close to the water huh...lucky man. Closest lake to my office is 30 mins...sigh!
  15. I will peg my worm with 1/8-1/2 oz bullet weight, if I am fishing covers (like everyone else said). But 90% of the time I am fishing weightless, and it works. I would much prefer to fish a Jig, than a weighted worm (better action).
  16. yeah, I went to cenntennial park this past Saturday and picked up one on drop shot using Zoom finesse worm.
  17. awesome. Where are you catching bass in Dec? For me, the bites stop after thanksgiving.
  18. Anyone had a chance to go out yet?
  19. Hell yeah, man. I don't use any other Jig other than Northstar, and the owner is one of the best dude I have dealt with.
  20. I will buy most of my bass gears on tackle warehouse, except for Zoom which I can get from wal-mart for 99 cents during sales. For my trout fishing or Pan fish gears, I prefer wal-mart or BPS (BPS runs some crazy sales from time to time).
  21. Agreed. I can go thru a donzen of small minnows under an hour, and catch all kinds of stuff. Once you step up to medium, then the quality went up.
  22. I have the exact same camera, and 50mm F/1.8 is a hot seller right now. Took me 4 months jus to find a new one, but it is definitely worth the wait. I have the “D” verison of the lense, and you can really tell the diference on picture qualities. I have done several testing on 250ISO to 20,000ISO on the subject (my wife), and the noisy is very noticable on the “D”. If I am very into photography, but I don’t buy used items for my nikon D90 or D300 because of my previous experience.
  23. Why is everyone like 65lb braid? The line diameter is equal to a 16lb flruo, its not too heavy for Jigs? I mean I haven't used braided line myself, and was going to buy few spools this season.
  24. What is the closest Bass lake? And how long is the drive?
  25. Interesting...
