  1. Just curious what works best for you during different seasons (Jigs, Plastics, Crankbaits, etc)? Spring Summer Fall Winter
  2. Anyone ever fish with dead bait for bass? I know bass are predatory and like the kill, but just curious. Something like this http://www.magicprod...s/5222_5224.jpg
  3. So I think I'm looking at two St. Croix Premier rod. Which would you recommend? -6'6" MH, Fast (2 Piece) -7'0" H, Fast (2 Piece) Also here are two Cabelas: -7'0" MH, Fast Cabelas XML (2 piece) - $139 -7'0" M, Fast Cabelas XMLTi (2 piece) - On sale ($119 instead of $199) Interested in an all around rod that can be fished multiways (flipping, frogs, spinnerbaits, plastics, etc)
  4. Hi, So I took your advice and picked up a Curado E201 reel and realized I need a baitcasting rod to go with it (I'm new to baitcasters, only used spinning setups). I already have a 7' MH, Fast Spinning Rod and Reel (20lb Braid + Flourocarbon Liter, Use for senkos and other plastics mainly) and a cheap 6'6" Pflueger Trion Rod and Reel Combo (Mono for Crankbaits and other hard lures). I'm not sure what to use another rod for, I'm fairly new to bass fishing but have had lots of success fishing plastics, mainly senkos and throwing Rapalas. Any suggestions? I want something that is fairly versatile, not looking for a rod that is only used for 1 application. Trying to keep the budget under $150... If you could give me suggestions and include what application the rod could be used for, it would be greatly appreciated! I also need a 2-piece rod, yes I am one of those people! I just find it so much easier to store and travel with...Thanks again!
  5. New to the forum so go easy I'm looking for a reel to match my 7' MH/F St. Croix Rod. Not looking for a super expensive reel, willing to spend up to $90. This will be for plastics and frogs mainly. I plan to put on braid + Leader when needed. I am looking for a 7:1 ratio, other than that I am fairly open to suggestions. I would like the reel to be very durable... I have been eyeing the BPS Pro Qualifier Baitcast Reel: http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Pro-Qualifier-Baitcast-Reels/product/102287/129820 Any thoughts?
