  1. I voted $130-$200 range. I have never paid more then $200 before tax or shipping for one and I own 14 reels that range from $299 to $599. 5 of them have been gifts and all the rest have been bought on sale or clearance. My latest being 2, TDZ 105 leftys that retailed for $369 and bought at $199. Kelley
  2. I vary the amount of 'pops'. pop, pop pop pop, pop pop. Different cadence different speed till the fish tell me how they want it. Kelley
  3. Was in their store in Evansvill, IN today and they had 20% off Daiwa Hard baits. Kelley
  4. X 2 on the shakey head.
  5. WPD just think what a great Mothers Day gift a Plane ticket for 'MOM' to come down there with you to fish for Peacocks. Kelley
  6. THAT'S ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : NOT, but it does look a lot like my boat. Kelley
  7. The most reasonable good skirt material and pre-made skirts 'I have found are from the following; HATFIELD ENT. BOX 338 MARNE, MI 49435 616 677 5215 His pre-made skirts are in the 30-40 cent range. He will also make custom colors if you order 100. I don't like his wire forms or hooks. Call for a catalog or to make an order. If he don't have the colors you want pre-made it make take a couple weeks to get order. Kelley
  8. My "DISCOVERED" technique is the Shaky Head jig. I was fishing a tournament a few weeks ago and nothing was working. I had some 1/8 jigs I had poured and some hitchikers so decided to try this technique. Rigged a Watermelon Trick worm, dipped the tail in charstruse Spike-It and on the first cast had a 2 lb keeper. To make a long story short, we won the tournament with 13 lb 2 oz bag and big fish with 4 lb 11 oz. I love it when a plan comes together. ;D
  9. Nice boat!!!!!!!!! Enjoy and catch a ton of fish out of it. Above all be safe. Wear PFD and Kill Switch when running.
  10. Most lures are made to catch the fisherman and if they catch fish that is a plus. The different lure makers use different types of materisl for the rattles and different shape rattle chambers thus one bait will out catch another on a given day. I think that subtle color changes do make a difference at times. I have been fishing a Rayburn Red Rat-L-Trap and not catching any fish while my pardner is fishing the same lure in Red Craw and killing them. I change to a Red Craw and start catching as many if not more than he is. Kelley
  11. Any time they are releasing water at the dam in increases current in the lake. With the increase of current fish will position on the downside of any current break(ie, points, underwater structure, logs, ect, ect) and wait for food to be washed by. I have found with the increase of current the bite increases. Kelley
  12. Good Luck Dom, Hope you and Ron have the best day you have ever had on the water tomorrow. Just think, now you have an excuse to go to Fla in the winter to fish. Kellely
  13. A guy I know got a 15 year loan on a 21X like mine. Kelley
  14. Avid, I have hauled mine on a 12' utility trailer. I now have a 16' utility trailer and haul it on that. If I can back the trailer down to the water I load all my gear before launch. They are light enough that I sometimes drag it across grass to the water with some of the gear in it and carry the rest and load at the waters edge. Kelley
  15. Google Barlow's Tackle Douchet. Kelley
  16. GMan, are you employed by the Bait Monkey? Barlow's got into my pocket today for $97.00 and change but I have a Posion Tail mold, 200 2/0 & 3/0 hooks, 200 Hitchikers on the way. I had been doing fine on my ball head Shakey rig but couldn't stand it. I now own 27 lead molds. 26 on the pegboard and an empty slot for the Posion Tail. ;D ;D ;D Kelley
  17. Gut and Gill them. Wash, roll in flour, fry whole in butter untill golden brown. This will work on Trout 12 inches and under. If over 12 inches score sides every 4 inches with a sharp knife before flouring and frying. Kelley
  18. Try a buzzbait.
  19. I love all the things everone who has posted before me said. But most of all I love release of the Bass. If I am able to hold in my hand and realease the Bass then I have enjoied and captured in my memorry all the wonderful things everone else has posted in this thread. Kelley
  20. What jdw said. I fish plastic with a 7-1/2ft rod and can set the hook with slack in the line. I use Owner straight shank hooks on 90% of my plastic. Exceptions being Wacky, Frogs, & Shakey Head. Kelley
  21. I agree RW. You have seen my Triton and the smile it puts on my face. Kelley
  22. Times 10 Muddy.
  23. Make a jig from a piece of wood and nails. I start with one nail. If I am making a R bend spinner bait I make a U shape around this nail. I then place another nail where I want the leg of of the R and bend it. To make the loop where the hook and the blade goes I use a pair of Round Nose Pliers. Kelley
  24. What Catt said X 2.
