  2. Cast upstream or across the current slightly upstream. Kelley
  3. Catt, if I am getting constant short strikes I add a trailer hook. I then catch those fish that are striking short. Kelley

  6. Bagley Baitfish in Bleeding Shad. Kelley

  13. I have been known to have 3 buzz baits tied on at the same time. One that will run straight, one running left and one running right. I will use the ones that run left and right so I can bump them off cover, dock pilings, fence posts, laydowns, rocks, ect, ect. I catch lots of fish when the BB changes direction as they come off the cover.
  14. I use a small mojo sinker and peg it with a rubber band, this prevents line damage. Trick worm or Fluke. Kelley
  15. I have the same problem. I bought a pair of split ring pliers. Get the tyoe that have the wedge coming down on the lower jaw of the pliers instead of on the end of them. Makes changing the hooks a snap. Kelley
  16. Fingernail polish, Cheap and in many colors. Kelley
  17. I must be in the final stages of MBS. I have 7 boats. My Triton, A 16ft Lowe with a 25 hp for limited hp lakes, an antique wooden jon. a aluminum jon, a pond hopper, a pontoon, and a 79 Monark McFast with a 100 on it. Anyone want to buy the Mcfast? Kelley
  18. Mike, try setting the idle up some. There should be an ilde adjusting screw on the linkage near the carbs. I think it should idle at 600 to 800 rpms. I am sure Cart can tell you exactly. Kelley
  19. May I suggest the BPS Extreme. It is normally $99.95 but you can catch the on sale from BPS several times a year for $59,95-$69.95. I would buy a Med-Hvy and a Med action for your application. Kelley
  20. If you are going to use Berkly Floro get the Transition. It has better knot strength. Berkley Vanish will break with most knots. The only two knots I can get to hold well with Vanish in the Uni-Knot and the Double Clinch Knot. Even if I wet the knot through the intire thghtening process I sometimes have to tie the knot 2 or 3 times to prevent breakage. A Palormar Knot works well with Transition for me. Be sure to test your knots with Floro. Kelley
  21. I like my OPTIMAX but my Merc tech says the E-tech is the best on the market at this time.
  22. Elevate the boat on saw horses, blocks, whatever and fill with water. Mark the rivets that leak. Repair those. When more leaks apear repeat process. Kelley
  23. "Why is he buying the cow when he is getting the milk for free"? Kelley
  24. Welcome to the forum. Nice looking boat hope you catch a ton of fish using it. You have your priorities right, H*ll with the grass I'm going to buy a boat. Now just say H*ll with the grass I'm going FISHING. ;D Kelley
