  1. "All the better to see you with". All kidding aside my guess is to keep the line off the blank.
  2. I have 3 761s. I bought the first one about 3 years ago and just couldn't turn 2 more down for the price I paid for the first one. Love them. I'll tell you how they stack up against the Revo STX HS L after the Ky lake trip.
  3. Root Beer, We all know that the Mod's are always right. If you or anyone else, including me, don't like it we can move on to another forum.
  4. Ck the yards of line on the brands(excal and others). If the same yardage on Stren, Trilene, and other top brands as the Excal I would buy one of Stren. Personal preference but I never liked Trilene.
  5. Probably the best cheap mono I have used. I used it for many years tournament fishing. I think it is fine to use if you respool often. I changed line line for every tournament and never had a break-off. It is not as abrasion resistant as some of the other lines out there but is cheap.
  6. I totally agree, I sent 4 Morrum reels(fished hard for 12 years with lots of boat rash) to them to be repaired if possible. Was cost prohibitive to repair. Gave me $90.00 ea off on 3 Revo STX L. and a Revo Winch. Got $800.00 worth of reels for $440.00 and had them at my door in 2 days.
  7. I vote with RW but adding Bluegill.
  8. You got that right..... I agree also.
  9. I switched LH retrieve several years ago when I was Tournament fishing. I figured out I could get many more casts than the other competitors by not having to switch hands. I now only fish with LH reels.
  10. 30X50 pole barn.
  11. Read "Met The Staff" found in Quick Links at uper right of this page.
  12. T-Mike, I guess you , I, and the rest of the spot lovers will have to start a repetitive 'We Want A Spot Forum' chain(as in chain letter) thread until we get 300 posts so we can have one.
  13. My Triton trailer has them also. Not a problem with them. Dealer recommended change oil every 2 years.
  14. If you wear precription glasses get Fitovers. I have been wearing them for years and love them.
  15. FITOVERS. I have been using them for years and love them.
  16. Here is a tip a old fisherman gave many years ago. "Every bass you catch look at their eyes, if they are looking up fish above the fish, if they are looking down fish below them". Has worked many times for me.
  17. I agree with RW & LBH. I don't know if I will ever be able to fish the 'Big Pond' again but if I do your service will be at the top of my list of 'things to do'. Good Luck with your new business. Kelley
  18. I have owned both the 100mph and Guide Wear. I prefer the Guide Wear by far. I have a light weight Gore Tex outfit for Summer wear.
  19. 'CONGRATS' Kent fine job.
  20. The morrums were fished hard for about 8 years. Boat rash and the foot on each one of them was either completely off or bent(Too soft aluminum alloy, design flaw). These reels originally retailed for $299.95. Appeared to mechanically sound. Was going to cost around $150.00 per reel to repair with the same defective replacement parts. This was a 'No Brainer'.
  21. Buy an EFI and never look back.
  22. I toured the factory in E. Texas in the mid '80s. Had 2 friends that that were sponsored by Tidecraft. I fished out of both their boats and found them very user friendly.
  23. I sent 4 Morrums to Garcia to be repaired. I bought these reels when Berkley bought Garica for $85.00ea when Berkley clearanced them in the '90s. They need some repair but when I was told how much it cost I said not to repair them. The guy that called me said they would give me 45% off any reel trade in. I now have a Wench, 2 STX-HS and a Stx 6.3-1 coming for $440.00.
  24. I have seen people in this area catching them on chicken liver. This in a lake not rivers. I have caught them on large topwater baits below the navigation dams in the Ohio River up to 14lbs.
