  1. SLOW! I had a boat very similar to yours in the late '60s and early '70s. I had a 3 hp motor that worked a heck of a lot better than rowing. I caught lots of fish from that boat and have many fond memories of those days. My advise is stick a small outboard on it and enjoy. Kelley
  2. Straight Spring water preferably Ice Mountain. After a bout with kidney stones it is the only thing I drink except a couple Bacardi Gold an coke a week. Kelley
  3. I lived in Wichita for about 6 yrs in the 60s. Lots of county, city, and state lakes within a 2 hr drive as has been stated. There is also great deer hunting, pheasant, quail, and prairie chicken. The wind blows constantly. I don't think it has changed, the wind adverage was 5mph 24/7. Winter is bitter and Summers are hot. Was a great place to live as a young man. Made lifetime friends there. Kelley
  4. I drank a lot of pots of Community Coffee at Grapevine Landing between March 1976 and March 1990. Haven't fished the 'Big Pond' since 1990. Hope to fish it at least one more time before I die. Kelley
  5. Glenn, I am shocked!!!!! We agree on something. Kelley

  7. Great, Thanks for asking. No pain but will be in a brace for 9 more weeks. Kelley ill probably be limping down your road soon enough if a few other things don't work. i might hit you up for advice some day. No problem, This is my fourth time down this road. Had a Dr mess my left and right hip in '08 and am having them revised now. Will probably have the left done in a couple months. Be d**n sure you know the Orthopedic Dr's record and get good references. I thought I had in '08 but didn't work out that way. Kelley
  8. Evidently you have never had chronic pain. It will drive you nuts. You will do anything, including suicide to relieve it. L\Kelley

  11. I did the same thing in the'60s(after I came home from Viet Nam) and '70s. I lived through that period. I still have a Rum and Coke(one) a couple times week in the privacy of my home. What I do is my business and if people don't like it they can KMA. Kelley
  12. I have that Mustang. I have never had it inflate but wear it whenever I am on the water. Getting old and have both hips replaced, don't want to drown if I stumble and fall in. I don't notice it is on. No problem fishing. Kelley

  18. Like I said in my post Mike "I don't tell tales out of school". Kelley
  19. We had a wonderful time. We fished a lake without the multitude of houses on the water. Saw deer, a Eagle, and many other animals and birds. Truly nice to be just woods, water and getting your line streched. I don't tell tales out of school so won't go into Ken's escapades. Kelley
  20. Fishing and Deer Hunting are not hobbies they are a way of life. Making Lures Vegetable Gardening Coins Estate Auctions

  25. I live in a underground house and heat with wood. I am to old and broke-down to cut my own wood. I buy $200 wood a year and always have some left over. We keep the house 76* year round and largest gas bill in past 6 years was $28.76. Last year we had over 3 months that the temp didn't get over 30*. Now if I could just figure out how to keep the power bill that low I would be happy. Kelley
