  1. You going to make the Roadtrip Runt, er Russ? Kelley
  2. Well Guys and Gals it is official, ROADTRIP HERE I COME. Mama gave me the OK last night. I wrangled a bed and will be there on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. Have registration form printed and will be in mail to Mike tomorrow. Kelley
  3. The electronics will probably be outdated by the time you get the boat on the water. By all means go with the 36 volt TM. It is better to have more power than you need than not enough especially if you are going to fish big water. Kelley
  4. Good to see you Russ. Kelley
  5. I really like my Triton. The largest body of water I have had it on is Ky Lake. My boat has handled 30mph N winds there and no problem handling the whitecaps and rollers. I have also had my buddies 19ft Triton there with same conditions or worse with no problem. Driest ride I have ever been in is a Triton. Kelley
  6. Best ride & driest ride I ever had was on the Ohio River with 4 ft white caps in a TR22 Triton. They are no longer made. I think you can't go wrong with a Triton boat. I love mine. Unless it has had a lot of motor work and tweaking I would be surprised that it would do 80mph with no gear, only a couple gal of gas, and a 98lb weakling at the wheel. I can get 68mph out of my TR21X, 225 Optimax and a light load of fishing gear, less than 10 gal gas and my 180lb body at the wheel. Tritons are a great fishing platform and a pleasure to fish. Kelley
  7. Roland is the biggest A$$hole I ever met but I got to give the Devil his due, he is one of the best fisherman that ever lived. Kelley
  8. Try to get off Monday. "The Party" is Sunday afternoon/ evening when everyone is arriving. This is one of the highlights of the entire week! I will try. Who all will be there saturday? I might have an open seat in the boat if I get off that monday. If I make it which I'm planning on. RW you must to fish with me. RW- that's what I'm afraid of. I could end up being the one made fun of on the board real easy. ;D You got broad shoulders, 'Man Up' and make it. If at all possible I will make it. Kelley
  9. I have owned both those guns but never again. I guess I am 'Old School'. I am a Winchester Mod 12 or a older Remington 870 Guy. I was hunting with a Winchester pump 410 ga @ 6 years old. Could not hunt my myself until I was 8. I put many rabbits, Quail, and squirrels on the supper table with early Winchester and Remington pumps. Kelley
  10. Not tennis shoes but I love Crocs. Since started wearing them my back pain has been reduced at least 50%. Kelley
  11. I love the laws in Texas that allow you to defend yourself. The USA would be a better place if all the states adopted Texas laws. Kelley
  12. Tenn. Shad is my best producing color. I also like Parrot and Rayburn Red. Kelley
  13. Buffing Boat I have fished my boat hard for 5 seasons and have several hook scratches. Can some of you fiberglass men give me directions as to what to use to buff them out? I have a commercial buffer. Need to know type pad and best polishing compound to use. Kelley
  14. My thoughts are with you Burley. Kelley
  15. I belong to a crossbow forum. Some of the guys are making wooden stocks for crossbows an are getting anywhere from $250 to $500 for them depending on how fancy they are. Google Wooden Crossbow stocks for an idea. Also making custom riffle stocks. Kelley
  16. Seeing I was born in '43 I can relate to all of the above. My biggest dilemma was walking to school 17 miles uphill both ways in knee deep snow in August. Boy times have changed. Kelley
  17. Yes, open all year. Kelley
  18. You might want to rethink that decision Red. My best friend had a heart attack while fishing alone. He passed out and fell off his boat. Had he had a Manuel vest on he more than likely would have drown. Kelley
  19. My DryPlus will will not keep me dry after a couple hrs downpour. Kelley
  20. I agree 100% Guidewear is the best I have ever used. Wind proof, waterproof, breathable and warm with layered clothing underneath. Kelley
  21. KRAFT!!!! Kelley
  22. I make all my own jigs. I really like the hybrid(hair silicone) concept. Think I will bootleg a few. If I bought jigs I definitely would have to try some of these. Great looking jigs and I can guarantee from looking they will catch fish. Kelley
  23. I have fished or owned every bass boat on the market. I presently own a TR21XDC with a 225 OPTI and love it. It is the driest ride I have ever been in. Yes It will chine walk but with a little practice you can drive through it. My best friend had a TR 19 with a 175 that I loved. I was going to buy a 19 until dealer made me an offer on my 21 I could not refuse. I am very happy with it. Kelley
  24. You can use the big motor to launch and load boat. You cannot have it running away from the launch area. Kelley
  25. When I was learning to jig fish, eons ago, I found myself moving the jig too much and too far when the bite was slow(almost non existent). I went to a 5'6' MH rod and it made catch ratio much higher than with a long rod. Now that I have learned to slow down and creep the jig on those kind of days I use a 7'6" MH. Kelley
