  2. caught 25 in a couple of hours in 30 MPH winds! Caught them all on a spoon! Fought one for 5 minutes chasing him with the trolling motor and the straightened two of the three hooks. I have mustard treble hooks, i just didnt take the time to put them on the spoon! Was going to go bass fishing but i ran across these guys instead!
  3. Argh!!! I am looking to break through with a victory, but i am up against some pretty good competition. Have you ever fished in West Georgia Bass club tournaments?
  4. Ok good luck, i have fished Guntersville a couple of times...i caught a 6 1/2 pounder out of there last year, of course it was in practice not the tournament.
  5. Cool...thanks for the information. How close are you to Wedowee, maybe we could meet up and fish it!?
  6. I cant wait, we caught some good spots at West Point on a drop shot
  7. Good we can catch the spotted bass because they like to school up! We are sitting in 14th out of 108 teams in our trail, trying to break through with our first victory.
  8. We have a tournament on March 11th there and we need to go practice a few times.
  9. Great thanks...we have a center console G3 that can run in 6 inches of water, but we are always careful. Do you fish Wedowee often?
  10. We are going over this weekend to Wedowee and i was looking for some pointers on the lake as i have never fished it. Have any of you fished it or fish it reguraly?
  11. Pete, on your structure scan do the beds look like a crater?
  12. Thanks guys. I am looking forward to spotting them at night and knowing where the bed is.
  13. I dont want to miss one second of that time of year...i saw a post about Guntersville spawn starting in a couple of weeks? My home lake is West Point Lake.
  14. Good stuff guys...yes we have been busy! It is tough to find the cover even with great electronics. When you put it in the water boy it really gets small. I have to try the senko as well.
  15. Ok thanks for your info guys. We set up the structure so that we can fish 360 degrees and we did everything we could to make sure that the cover is standing straight up. Some of the structure is Magnolia trees, have you guys ever used that?
  16. We have recently put out 50 pieces of cover in different spots for running and gunning in tournaments. What is your favorite Pig-N-Jig bait and presentation for attacking these pieces of cover? Any ideas on boat position other baits or any opinions on the matter are appreciated.
  17. Thanks, we have killed them for two weeks now...just need to find that 20-40 pounder!!!
  18. Sorry forgot to give pics!
  19. We are wearing the stripers out...it is so much fun!
  20. It works for bass or at least does not turn them off in deep water, we have been catching bass along with the stripers. It is ridiculous!! you can see them coming into the sonar!
  21. That's cool...im gonna bass an striper fish for them.
  22. Thanks for the info..have you used it much?
  23. Anyone have any experience fishing for bass and striper with an AC Plug? I have the 7.5 model in Tennesse shad color. I know it is a topwater bait, but i read an article by a pro that said he has used it on a Carolina Rig. Thanks for any input.
  24. Interesting...it does not seem to bother bass either, we have caught a bunch of them while doing it as well.
  25. We have done it three different times, they dont always bite but you can see them come up the water column for sure...give it a try!! I am blown away with how well it works.
