  1. Ok, two of my good friends are both sponsored by Ardent so I have been able to use the F500, F700, C400, XS600, XS1000 and the Edge Tour. Pros: Good pricing if your are on the Pro-Staff Casts amazingly well!! (Weightless trick worm 50 yards, seriously!!) Really good Bearings (I believe the XS series has the Abec 5) The F500/700 are super strong Cons: All of them feel like $80 reels in your hand 1 of my 2 friends has sent EVERY single ardent he has ever owned back in because something broke (except for the F series) and my other friend has sent half of his stuff in (and both of them take great care of there stuff) Very finicky brakeing system Doesn't feel all that great in your hand The release button sticks alot All in all I give these reels a 5/10, not impressed and my friend is trying to sell all his if anyones interested Now for the Edge, sorry for going off on the whole "review" thing but just wanted to The Edge feels so much better in your hand and looks ALOT better then the last series of reels, this one actually looks like a "low-profile" reel. Pros: Looks much better and feels much better in every way Still casts far (not as far as XS series because the did decresase there bearing quality) Pricing isn't bad for some but the Elite series is $329, I think anyone would rather buy a Core or MGX Cons: The one I used made ALOT of noise during the cast, he sent it in and got it replaced because Ardent said that it was the first time they had a problem with it (an Ardent breaking, what a surprise) Was not smooth Still have to see how these hold up in the long run but Ardent is NOT a reliable company at all! I don't like them, there are much better reels out there for the money but this is just one guys opinion.
  2. Not Familiar with the rod but the Curado is a great reel. 8.5/10 Abu Garcia Veritas M-MF, awesome spinnerbait rod! Revo Premier 6.4:1 17# Vicious Flurocarbon
  3. Oh ok, I thought it was all but I guess they've been bought
  4. I have heard alot of great things about the Pro Qualifiers But I would recommend going with a Citica, Curado, Revo SX or STX Will be better in the long run
  5. Hmm... Baitcasting: Shimano Citica E (on sale at TW right now), paired with a Abu Garcia Veritas or a Shimano I'll leave the actions up to you by I would get a 7-7'2 MH-Fast Spinning: Not to fond on Spinning gear but would get a Shimano reel (I just know there good haha) and a Veritas or Compre Also look at Denali rods, friend is sponsored and I've used them, there not bad.
  6. I was actually talking about the rod they were on, but they guides do break easier, definitely on the Quantum Smokes!
  7. Veritas: I own and love Can't speak for the Mojo but I have good things about but would recommend the Veritas to anyone
  8. Haven't really seen a difference in casting but the Micro rods, no mater what it is seem More sensitive but they break easier. Just my experience with them but I don't really care if I have Mircros or not
  9. The only reason I believe in a slower reacting rod is because when the fish sees the boat and shoots in the other direction a fast action may rip the bait out but it's because I have experimented with different actions and I know what I like so just try out different things. PS I don't not like a "crankbait" rod (slower reacting tip) for lipless cranks bc most of the time I'm using them I'm ripping then from grass and stuff so in this situation I prefer a fast action
  10. For a C-Rig and jigs definitely without a doubt go with a Mono or Fluro leader But for frogs just tie directly This is my perforation because I believe that the fish can see the line, but it's all in opinion because I know people that use pure braid for everything!
  11. Doesn't really matter what rod but I would suggest the Abe Garcia Veritas or maybe if you can look into the Shimano rod series, they look awesome. But whatever you get I would suggest a 6'8-7'2" in a MH-F
  12. I heard from a little birdie that *** is having a Black Friday sale and most things will be 25% off!! Idk if it's true or not but it's worth waiting for IMO!
  13. Yes, Just call shimano, they won't have everything of course but they should have what you need
  14. To balance you want the same amount of weight in the back as is in the front. Haha just kidding A reel does counter but most of the time not enough so people add weights which obviously adds total weight but some people prefer balance over weight.
  15. I have a 7' H-XF Abu Garcia Veritas and it really isn't a T-Rig rod, I just don't like a rod that stiff for it but if u like It then I would recommend it and I know that Denali, Falcon, Shimano, and Duckett all make a rod that is between 7'-7'6" and has a Heavy action
