  1. Morning, I was recently experiencing the same problem, Turns out I have a puck of weeds/fishing line behind my prop. My lower settings weren't working at all before I cleaned it out.
  2. Nice! Best part is looking forward to fishing
  3. Morning, I've gotten back to working on the boat, lots of sanding and filling in small holes here and there.. Its a long process but a necessary one! The more time I spend here will save me a world of trouble in the end. Pictures of the work in progress: I'll start the installation of the rear once its sanded. I'll keep you posted I'm pretty much back to working on her every night. Shawn.D
  4. Work has started once again on the bass boat, I will take some picture and let you guys in on the action soon.
  5. Good, I was wondering! I can't wait too see some pictures.
  6. Looking good ! Don't stop. I started tournament fishing with my buddys new tr177 and now I have no time for my own boat hahaha...
  7. I've got a 175 johnson, removed it myself and lowered it on a dolly, I got my brother to give me a hand to stand it back up in the corner.
  8. No issue making that cut Dan.
  9. Not too high. What materials are you using to build the deck?
  10. No, you attach the hose to the foot well you're installing, this way the foot well acts like a funnel bringing the water / rain that falls into it, to the bilge area to then be removed by the pump/plug.
  11. They attach a hose to the drain hole that feeds any water coming in too the bilge area.
  12. Its nice , its a lot easier on the back and you have much more balance. I made mine out of plywood I had lying around..
  13. Your going to have to look at how its built. I looked at some of your pictures and I can't see the harm it would do. I would cut out whatever you feel is in the way and the measure a piece of plywood to match whats left ( be sure to measure accurately you want a tigth fit to support any weight.), clean the inside of the console and then add glue to the wood (PL GLUE) and press in.\ Done.
  14. Its going to be awhile .. 2 boats, tournament circuit and life has got me on a tight budget.. But I'll see if I can do the topcap with polyester resin..I have a lot left.. I'll see what I can do to finish the cap between now and july..
  15. I like it ,Go check it out.
  16. Hi guys, sorry I haven't updated anything, work has been busy.. The bilge area is painted I used bed liner, rolled it on easy and it covers very well. I'm happy with how it turned out and I installed the gas tank. I'll cover it all up with a cloth so that I don't get any resin or dust on it. The Bass boat funding is dead for the moment but should pick back up by the end of august.. I've also been using what little time I have had getting my gear ready. Attached a photo of that. Meanwhile the princecraft has been getting some love and it has gone out this past weekend ! It only needed a few things and as much as I would love to ride around in a bass boat things come to those who wait... and don't break the bank.. Just wanted to let you guys know, I still have it, its just sleeping.. Cheers! Shawn.D
  17. Nothing wrong with doing tourneys out of a 12' boat, be safe wear your jacket and be smart while you travel, plan out your areas. Plenty of pros have started out like this and plenty of people still fish out of 12' boats.
  18. I have a dual console and the passenger will be easy to removed and install..
  19. Dan, I like your idea with the blocks. they'll protect the rods from the floor and you guys dancing on it all night Sorry I haven't been "around" I've been working on my own rig and trailer.. Took her out for the first time this year. it was sweet..
  20. You can accommodate that , cut the existing storage and make the rod locker as long as you can with leaving just enough room for feet. Shawn.D
  21. I meant to build a box , your current locker seems like its the side that opens up, I like the idea of the new rod box being used as storage for rods and seating for friends . I'll draw something up.
