  1. Hello, Looking for any help for bass patterns here in Maryland, outside DC Rockville specifically. New to the area so still getting the fishing figured out. Went out Sunday and again today and am not finding much luck. Hit Little Seneca Lake and got nothing in 6 hours. Went out this evening to Widewater and nothing as well. Specifics; shore fishing in both situations Seneca, went through the tackle box, cranks, multiple plastics in rigging and form, top water, and everything in between. Wide water was crank, buzzbait, small swim bait. No strikes, no nibbles, I’m pretty sure nothing even looked at them. Suggestions from you Marylanders?
  2. From the reading I’ve done through the threads it looks like you got the nail on the head. Looking forward to meeting y’all on the water. Tight lines.
  3. Hello Chris, Glad to hear I’m not the only one chasing the patterns in this area. Be happy to chase some bass with you but I’ll be the first to admit, haven’t lived here very long and haven’t been able to get out a much as I’d like to test the waters. Let me know if you find some patterns at Seneca.
  4. Hello! Long time on the forums but I took a break as I was bouncing around the country for a bit. Dropped back down into Rockville MD. Haven’t been fishing much but I’m getting back on the horse, I can tell cause the bait monkey is already swarming. Hit up Little Seneca Lake from the shore for a abysmal day of catching, still better then the 9 to 5. Couldn’t find anything but then again the conditions weren’t ideal. Looking forward to chatting with you fine folks and chasing those tight lines. cheers
  5. I do follow that thread. Thanks guys
  6. burnisdevaughn, Let me know if you have any luck I'm new to Mass and am looking as well.
  7. Hello all, I'm new to mass and was hoping to get a insiders view on tackle you all find useful up here or places to fish. I am a bank fisherman and primarily fish the Charles near Watertown and am starting to explore ponds in the area as well. Any advice would help, thanks in advance.
  8. Hello all, Headed to Emerald Isle, NC end of the week for a week of vacation and was hoping for tips and help. I have bass fished my whole life but have never done any surf casting or inshore fishing. Any help on lures, tactics, etc would be greatly appreciated as I don't have the slightest clue. I will be traveling with a 7' medium heavy and I know I need to re-spool the line from the 12lb mono I have on it know, I know it's not the best rod for the job but it's what I have, so any suggestions on line would be helpful as well. And lastly, if anyone is in a giving mood, freshwater bass holes around there would be great as well, no boat just my feet. Thanks in advance,
  9. Hey all, Just putting it out there... Isn't this local forum a little large? Seems like a local forum shouldn't stretch from as far south as MD all the way to Maine and from the coastal waters of the Atlantic to the great lakes. Its such a large, and more importantly, diverse fishing environment. My two cents
  10. Continue to pull large and small mouths out of the Charles near Watertown Dam. Perch have been making it difficult the last few days as they are filling all the holes I normal pull bass out of. Bass are on their beds now and have been hitting on reaction strikes and topwater. Killed my buzzbait today. All dinks, but on ultralight all of them are a challenge Tight lines to you all
  11. Been going out frequently, Charles River in Watertown. Bass seem to be deep, well deep for where I am fishing. I'm bank fishing so I don't have a good view of beds to see if they are on them. The cold weather and wind over the last few days hasn't helped. Catching most on weightless super flukes. Consistently pull out Large mouth but not in great numbers. Herring are schooling, but haven't had any luck with stripers. New(ish) to Mass so I'm still figuring it out, but I love the Charles. Any good spots to bank fish in the esplanade? Thanks
  12. Sounds like a great day. Hoping I can make I out this week.
  13. Welcome to the site. Tons of Va information.
  14. Always more fun landing a bass that jumps...no one said you can't be the reason it jumps.
  15. Sounds like a great day. Congrats!
  16. Nice boat. Enjoy!!!
  17. Welcome
  18. That looks great. Good work that should entertain you for awhile.
  19. I am a theatrical Technical Director. I am responsible for taking a designers drawing of what they want the show to look like and provide it on time and on budget. Has to be on time because the show opens regardless, so our deadlines mean something. Had to be on budget cause mod theatre has no extra capital if you need more oh well. This typically means figuring out what materials to use, how to build it to specifications, and how to accomplish the finish specified. Which also entails creating a build scedules and drafting shop drawings for people to build off. Currently I am doing this at a university where I also teach young ins how to build scenery. This also means I supervise up to 25 kids in my shop building as many as three shows at a time. I also do capital upgrade purchasing and equipment maintence for the department as well as mentoring the sound technicians and designers.
  20. That's awesome! Way to go
