  1. The length is 91 1/4 in The Width is 21 1/8 For the "hidden compartment" lid just cut out a template with some cardboard to get your angles. This isn't a must but does give it a clean look. The plywood is 3/8 I believe, remember this adds WEIGHT to your vessel and weight is your enemy in these things especially if you have to drag or carry it a ways. Get the lightest, strongest plywood you can. It was very easy to install the carpet just go to Lowes get them to cut you out a sheet of carpet from their wheel and staple that bad boy onto the plywood. The screw eye's are medium 1-5/16 in. that I use for the tie downs. I DO NOT recommend putting any type of holes in your boat ANYWHERE! These simply screw into the plywood. A little bit goes a long way in these things and can make life much easier on you. I encourage everyone to post pics and keep the ideas rolling in!
  2. Big Hoss thanks! Yea they just grip the lip and don't move at all. As you can see I use the thick plastic bungees (4 dollars for a tub of them at walmart) and they work great. I was surprised how well they gripped. You have to actually use some force to make them slide... Definitely recommend trying them out!
  3. ADDING THESE BUNGEE TIE DOWNS COME IN HANDY FOR HOLDING RODS, SEATS, AND PADDLES SECURE!
  4. FLOOR I BUILT... PLYWOOD COVERED WITH INDOOR/OUTDOOR CARPET (TOTAL INVESTMENT 40 BUCKS) HIDDEN COMPARTMENT
  5. BEST INVESTMENT I EVER MADE! BASS RAIDER 10e (THE KHAKI ONE IS MINE!)
  6. Foot control is almost impossible in these boats. I use a 34lbs C2 Min-Kota and it's as good as it gets. The handle extends and it has a reverse. Don't waste your money or your patience trying to use a foot control on a Bass Raider, GO to Cabelas get a C2 for 119 bucks and slay some bass!
  7. Definitely OVERKILL but I love where you were going with this!! I usually carry 3 rods and that gets rough at times. I have a thin plywood floor that is carpeted with I/O carpet and I use screw hooks to tie down my rods with a bungie cord. Great setup here and I'm jealous of all your nice rods LOL!
  8. I keep my bass raider outside in the backyard on 2 milk crates. The milk crates keep the boat off the ground and I use a big tarp to cover her up. I use some bungie cords and rope to tie down the tarp to the boat. We had several big snows and a lot of rain in the last couple months and she is bone dry and it perfect shape. Some people store them on it's side or upside down to keep the water out but all you need is a good tarp (walmart 10 bucks). Also the milk crates are a must as it keep the boat from ruining your grass and keep the boats bottom from sitting in snow, water, mud, etc.. The crates fit perfectly in between the pontoons. On the Dicks question they now carry another brand of small bass boat called Bass Hunter. They are good boats but I wouldn't trade my bass raider for anything. Check my album out for pics of my Bass Raider 10E aka Bass Assassin!! My Bass Raider was purchased from Dicks in 2009 for 400 bucks, the prices have been steadily climbing on these and Dicks (if you can find any stores that still have stock) is the best price anywhere. Some online store want 900 dollars for the 10E. Check your local craigslist and papers for possibly a deal on a used one. These boats will last years if you treat them right!
  9. Throw a senko against the bridge piling and let it fall, the bass holding on the structure will nail it! They can't stand that falling action. Also in my river I use flat bill silent cranks like the KVD, and small plastic beavers. As it warms us try buzzbaits and poppers early and late in the day. You can't go wrong with crawfish imitators like the rebel craw mentioned above. I love soft plastic craws like the power craw and paca brands too. Try some zoom lizards with a small weight. River fish can be finicky, just have a nice arsenal with you and let them tell you what they want. In my experience any Gary Yamamoto product is killer in river systems, they are expensive but they never let you down.
  10. I know it's mid January and in my part of the world (West Virginia) it's about 20 degrees and snowing today. I like most of you can't wait to get some warm temps to hit the lake! I was just wondering when the spawn usually begins and the best times to get back on the water? What is ideal spawn water temps and conditions. Hopefully I can get on the water sooner than later and get me fish on!
  11. Water is tht cold i'm on the couch watching World Fishing Network dreaming of springtime!!! Plus my boat is good and winterized right about not!
  12. THANKS!!! Just what I was looking for! I am going for the Minn Kota 40!
